@oldcarrescue450 I had a 79, it was a lot of fun. The MG experience is an online forum full of knowledge and people ready to help with issues. Plus, an archive full of how to's if you get stuck. Moss motors and Rimmer bros are good places for parts. I wanted one just like this one. Mine had rubber bumpers. I hope whoever gets it appreciates it! Good luck.

This year we brought a knife to a gun fight. Next year we will have a purpose built burnout car looking for a short bed Chevy with an LS. We only used the El Camaro because this was the only car we had to get ready in a short time. Thanks for the input. Keep watching for new videos. You Rock

@@oldcarrescue450 oh I think that thing would’ve done pretty good with a little welding I think it would’ve overheated pretty quickly but I think it would’ve put on an impressive show. Do something different though 80% of the vehicles out there have an LS in them I understand it’s the cheapest way to go but it’s not the only way to go and you’d be surprised in the crowd peoples attention will perk up when they hear something different. The LS is everywhere when it comes to cheap hot rods to the point that just the sound of it bores people. If you want to make an impression you are definitely not going to do it in a Chevy truck everybody has finally realized you don’t have to put an LS in your car you can buy a Chevy truck and it’s already got one they are already starting to dominate slow drag nights and shitty no prep events I have a feeling next year‘s burnout competitions are gonna have even more of them and they’re already all over now at burnout comps watch the crowd nobody gives a shit when his Chevy truck pulls up because they know what it’s going to do and exactly what it looks like when it’s doing it you’ve gotta roll out in something that makes people wonder if it’s going to do it and when it does it it looks impressive because they’ve never seen it before I kind of think you should keep the Camaro just give it a little more power and reliability and absolutely a better cooling system, that’s where everybody fails. Or go really absurd it doesn’t have to be nice it doesn’t have to be pretty it just has to be different. Goddamn I just made myself sound like a dick I’m actually a really nice guy and that’s all my opinion but I watch a lot of burnout competitions and I will just straight fast forward now and somebody comes out in a Chevy truck or I hear an LS fire up. You might wanna look into the older Toyota V8 it’s got the power to do a burnout competition bone stock so you can use the stock computer if you want a little more power throw a wet shot of nitrous at it and the tune will just take it and it’s cheap if you get the first gen. Or you could be my hero and go Ford but that’s a little more expensive but way more reliable and cheaper on fuel
