Here are ten key points from my review of Allen Carr's book Easy Way to Control Alcohol:
Life-Changing Impact: Joe Savia shares that the audiobook profoundly changed his life, helping him quit drinking after 35 years of regular alcohol consumption.
Approach to Listening: He listened to the audiobook over three days and recommends not stopping drinking until the book is finished, ensuring a clear mind while engaging with the material.
Quitting Alcohol: The book addresses both the conscious and unconscious mind, making readers realize their true feelings about alcohol and helping minimize withdrawal symptoms.
Social Life without Alcohol: Joe discusses how he initially feared quitting alcohol would ruin his music career, as he performs at bars and social events, but the book helped him enjoy these situations sober.
Reverse Brainwashing: The book challenges societal norms around alcohol, described as "reverse brainwashing," by unraveling the glorification of alcohol ingrained since childhood.
Dealing with Alcohol Flavors: The book emphasizes that flavors often associated with alcoholic drinks (like pumpkin or cherry) can be found in non-alcoholic forms, easing the transition for those who enjoy specific tastes.
Social Dynamics: Joe mentions that quitting alcohol can change social relationships, distinguishing true friends from mere drinking buddies, which is not necessarily a negative outcome.
Practical Analogy: He compares quitting alcohol to leaving a job you no longer enjoy, stressing the relief and absence of longing to return once the decision is made.
Support and Guidance: While the book alone might not guarantee quitting for everyone, it provides mental support and helps silence excuses that delay quitting, like special occasions.
Personal Transformation: Joe also shares his personal journey of becoming happier, improving his relationships, and finding fulfillment, and invites viewers to reach out for coaching or hypnosis support as part of his passion for helping others.

Why Bose S1 Pro transmitter is a game changer (Testing it out!)

In this video I test the Bose S1 Pro wireless mic and guitar transmitters, to see how far away they can get before losing connectivity with the speaker. I was pretty impressed with my results. While I was at it I compared the Xvive U3 Mic system with the Bose. Also you'll be able to hear my McPherson Touring Guitar (so good) Thanks for watching. SE V7 Sennheiser 835 Mic Shootout I've been using my Sennheiser 835 for years and have always had a nice clear sound, in my opinion. Just to change things up I decided to try the SE V7 and used it for about a year at every one of my solo acoustic gigs. In this video, I compare two popular microphones: the Sennheiser 835 and the SE V7. Microphone Introduction: I start by introducing the Sennheis...

The Eastman E1 SS-SB, costing $580*, inspired this video. *price at time of filming I installed a K&K Pure Mini preamp in the Eastman, purchased from a recommended store in Pittsburgh. Heavy drinker for 15 years. I knew I had to quit or it was going to kill me. 3 weeks sober zero desire to drink. Anxiety gone depression mostly gone. Thanks to Allen Carr.
The Sennheiser makes your voice sound more present. It sounds mix ready. The SE sounds more muffled and distant. More post processing is needed for the SE.
Great vid
@@julianmejia7833 Thank you, I appreciate the comment! Rock on🎤🤙🏽
I agree, alcohol has become a big brain-wash where we have been "groomed" to think it's completely normal to waste a night of drinking and the next day nursing a hang over. subbed!
Thanks for the comment, Appreciate you!
@@joesavia no problem. You did a good job. I post videos on quitting bad habits too. Would be nice to have you take a look as well!
I have had 2 S1 Pro for a few years now and they have been great. I am mostly solo acoustic guitar singer/songwriter. I do also have a Bose F212 that I can also use for larger areas and still use my S1’s as well to spread the sound. I do not plug straight into the speakers as I use a mixer for my inputs and send out to the speakers through the mixer output and that way if someone wants to join (vocal, guitar, harmonica, etc)i it is easy to plug in and mix. If I am playing somewhere when power is not easy I also have a small BEHRINGER mixer (1002B) that can also run on battery power and even using phantom power for my vocal mic (Shure KSM9) it lasts for the whole night (1 9v so easy change if needed). Great speakers and I have no need to upgrade. Besides that I am old and this is easy treble/bass knobs and I get the sound close and then just fine tune from the mixer anyway. I don’t need to upgrade but Bose is great product and will be happy to upgrade if my S1 Pro’s ever fail. Enjoy!
I've had every kind of buzz...... from a two beer buzz to running out in the middle of the street with half a saw horse swinging at a car." 😂😂😂😂😂
Yes, It is possible that I may have tried to use a city barricade to joust with oncoming traffic. 😀 Self-defense, of course.
Really nicely done, Joe. Sounding great, as always.
@NutellaAddict Thank you, brother. Looking forward to seeing you out sometime soon. 🎹🎶
great review, man.
@negotiatewithleverage4763 Thank you, I really like the guitar now that I've had it for a while, too. I appreciate the feedback. Rock on 🎸🎶
Theres no delay of your frequency because the truck where you headed ping a signal due to horsepower of the engine. So giggleyohoo ✌️
First things first Joe, you're accent is wicked! :) and thanks for the demo btw...interesting. AND LETS GO SOX!
The Bose sounded warmer, I usually walk into the audience when street performing, had some drop outs at 30 feet. Just updated the firmware, so that might help.
Nice review Helpfull
Thanks for the feedback Mark🎤🎶
Nice work Joe!
Thanks brother
In other videos they say it's not the difference in power, who to believe?
I called Bose and asked them directly. They wouldn't give me an answer as to if it's more powerful. She said that there may be some technical upgrades that may make it appear to be louder. Basically, she was very vague and unhelpful. I know that if I set the volume of each speaker at the 12:00 position, the plus version is louder. I'm not sure if it translates to when both speakers are maxed out. I believe they're both rated at the same wattage and SPL.
Maximum SPL at 1 m 109 dB Both speakers
It sounds better s1 pro?
I like them both for different reasons. Most of the time, I'm still going to the original S1 Pro. I do like the wireless microphone and guitar transmitter options on the plus model.
No mid control thats why it sounds so terrible
Fair enough. It's probably not a good fit for everybody, but it works great for my needs.
Not loud enough to cover 100 people. Even with 2 bose s1 pro plus
I agree, unless you're really just background music. Otherwise, I run it into a powered speaker with a bigger speaker and more wattage.
Exelente
Just ordered mine. Can wait to get it in hand. Thanks for great review
Awesome, let me know how you like it.🎶🎸
i liked the first model cause sound adjusted by it self did not have to mess with eq
I agree. it's easier to adjust on the fly.
hi what is best eq settings for channel 3 bluetooth treble and bass ? when i hear music and put it loud bass and treble sounds distorted please help
I think it depends on the music. Typically, I start with bass and treble straight up at 12 o'clock and then reduce as needed.
I have a pair of the original S1 Pro that I use mainly as floor monitors in conjunction with a pair of L1 Pro8 and an Allen & Heath SQ5, I roll the bottom end off a little when using them this way and they cut through nicely on stage… however when using them as a primary PA, it’s quite easy to bottom them out, there’s no EQ on the Bluetooth/stereo line in channel and it can be tricky. I think this will be one of the main advantages of the Pro+, that and the control app.
Hello! How much is the sound pressure SPL?
Maximum SPL at 1 m 109 dB According to the website
Where's the blooper reel ???? 😂
This is the blooper reel😂
Eastman 💪🏾
*Important clarification - 5:05 The good folks at Journey Instruments did not deduct the shipping from my refund, so I received the full amount of the purchase. I did pay for return shipping which is more than fair.
Eastman sounds great! Thanks for the comparison 👍
@@WorldofThoughts101 I know that feeling lol
I bought the same Eastman and put an LR Baggs anthem pickup in it. Love it!!!
@@Ezemdi wise choice 👍
@@Ezemdi Great guitar, punches above it's weight class in my opinion. I'm thinking about picking up their version of the Les Paul eventually.
@@joesavia yes it does. It’s not a j 45 but it certainly has a similar sound for a fraction of the price 👍🏾. I have not checked out Eastman electric guitars but I’m intrigued
Nice review,Joe.
Thanks Greg🎸
Better than Everse 8???
I bought two of the Everse and sold them. I did like them. They were louder and more powerful. I don't necessarily think they're better, but as a preference, I like the Bose user experience. The LED on the Everse was a little more complex, in my opinion. Best of luck
What's your favorite guitar sound?
I love the Martin however my favorite is the Taylor 324ce. It could just be sentimental because it was my first decent guitar.
I kind of like them all however if I had to keep only one it would be the Taylor 324ce 🎸🎶❤️
Great review, Joe!
❤
Love this. Can you do a Beached Whale remix?
Excellent work as always!
Thanks Brother.
Hey Joe! I like this song. I remember you from Lexington St. Keep up the good work. Gio
