This channel is all about our (Ryan&Laura) search for epic camping spots, great surf, amazing fishing, and awesome scenery as we travel around Australia in our 2003 78series ex-ambulance Toyota Troopcarrier.
Hopefully we find what we are after, but more than that, a big part of our trip is also learning new skills, meeting people who have wisdom to share and connecting more with the land we were born in!
We want to share all this with our friends, family and whoever else would be hyped on it. :)

Best of Margaret River 2019-2020 The Salty Troopy
We spent just over 10 months living, working and exploring the Margaret River Region and this is just a little highlight reel of our time there. We met so many amazing people and made some epic friendships :)

One of two old trees used for fire lookouts in the Pemberton area in Western Australia. Apart from smashing my head at the top it was a pretty cool climb :)
Albany and Surrounds 2 week trip - The Salty Troopy

Took 2 weeks to checkout a few spots we skipped when we originally came acrosst to WA. These places include, Denmark, Pemberton, Walpole, Bremer Bay and Albany. Some light 4x4, fishing, a couple of dives and 1 surf. Weather was a bit hit an miss but when the sun came out the coastline looked magic!
Margaret River to Coral Bay Round Trip - 2 Week Adventure

We took two weeks to pickup two of our favourite people and take them to our favourite spots along the WA Coast. Our round trip was around 2,800kms. Places shown; Margaret River, Perth, Lancelin, Horrocks, Little Bay Campground, Geraldton, Kalbarri, Coral Bay, Warroora Station, Elles Beach Campground. Month 6!! We heading up WA's Coastline from Red Bluff all the way up to Exmouth. We staying in some amazing spots in Coral Bay, Ningaloo Station, Waroora Station, Cape Range National Park and exmouth itself. This month we stopped into perth for a few weeks to catch up and stay with some family before heading off futher up the coast. This Month we spent 3 weeks in Tassie then headed back over to finish of Victoria including the great ocean road. After that we crossed the border into South Australia to start our next leg! Meet some great people in Tassie and Loads of free camping. Will definitely be going back someday.

The Salty Troopy Travels Around Australia - Month One
