Why i hate this english dubs

Has anyone else noticed how Meteion's cadence/tone shifts: When she was explaining what she saw from the other stars, her delivery is very flat and monotone. Then, when she gave the conclusion based on their observation, her tone became dark and almost angry. Then it starts to sound child-like at the very end as if the information she received has completely broken her and her sanity that she starts to sound like Fandaniel with how she gleefully describes how she's going to destroy the universe.

The irony is that those planets that got self destroyed seemed to create a idealistic society. Hermes seeks that idealistic life and ended up destroying many planets by his own creation. He was blinded by this emotional greed. Perfection means you will destroy imperfection and imperfection is part of life, they destroyed their own lives. No hate but Hermes never learn his mistakes and this keeps reincarnating into evil greedy characters.

I like how with a literal giant ticking clock the action grinds to a dead halt so Emet and Hythlodeus can explain their pointless, confusing ruse and laugh at Hermes. If he wanted to distract Hermes why didn’t Hythlodeus just shoot an arrow at him

Now that I see all these Elpis scenes again, I noticed that the writing team definitely employed some fuckery to make this whole time travel thing stick. The Asicans just so happened to have a giant memory reconfiguration machine that took just long enough to fire up to let the hero’s escape?

Intentional or not, I like how he clutches his head when he remembers seeing you in Elpis, because you collided with his head

It wasn't until this scene that I actually came to like Emet-Selch. Not just find him a good character, or amusing, or memetically capable, but truly like him. I think if he, Venat, and the WoL had all been able to avoid Kairos's effects, things would have been different.

This was my favorite scene in the whole game. It feels so dark because even though it’s fiction it feels very rooted in reality. War, genocide, etc. humans destroying themselves in general. Hits so hard because its all very possible

When meteion went about her nihilistic speech about sorrow and despair, lol it reminded me of the epic scene with yunalesca and the crew back in zanarkand.

Whenever people call Hades the "bad guy", I'm dying to disagree. While Hades may be responsible for the last days, I don't think his reasoning for doing so was unreasonable. All his life he has seen creatures created and destroyed as the Achiens pleased. Every creature had to prove itself in Elpis before being sent to earth. So at some point Hades came to the conclusion that it would only be fair for humanity to prove itself as well. And he saw his chance when he heard Meteion's report and realized what he had conjured up. So instead of saving the world, he gave her a chance to earn her salvation. Call me insane, but at no point did I think that way of thinking was wrong, and thus to this day I still don't think of Hades as an antagonist. Its was an all in all big tragedy.

How they can speak so quietly and so far away, yet can still each other crystal clear is a miracle.

I never understood why Emet called it sophistry. Hermes' argument is perfectly sound. Why would the Ancients stand above their laws? Because they hold more power? Because nothing stands above them to judge them? Well, something now came up and it brings that judgement.

Bruh even before this dungeon Meteion's reports and the music playing while she spoke them out gave off mad Sephiroth descending into madness vibes while he was in Nibelheim and discovered the truth

It's a really good thing Midgardsormr was in a coma after the events of the Omega raids, otherwise he probably would've found a way to get a word in about how his people were only mostly dead.

Kairos feels a little bit as if it is Hermes Jojo Stand. :0 Which i personally find awesome as hell. I see elegance and beauty in its simple Sun-Clock design.

Can someone explain the latter part of the cutscene? What is a confluence? Why is it important? And what did Emet mean by saying ''The instant those two began making their way towards nothing, 'twas clear the plan was diversion'' ? I have so many more questions about this scene and I've rewatched it a lot, and I honestly still don't understand what exactly is going on.

Elidibus's words about meeting you in Elpis makes sense once you do the Pandaemonium quests.

I was so enraptured, I didn't even notice this whole segment was basically half an hour.
