Very nice review On the Pros and cons of Calculated EF . I'm an old defender of Eyeballing in whole echocardiography. Always if you are gonna distrust your eyes and believe the measurement, Ensure first you have the true prerequistes of this measurments and if it applys to every patient sure Eyeballing is better

Very interesting! So you use the time the lateral mitral leaflet insertion takes to return to its initial position in diastole to immediately assess whether diastolic dysfunction is present or not. I’ve never heard about it but sounds very interesting. Are there studies about it? Congrats on your video!
I've used since Eco M MODE. Even today I evaluate it better in M mode because of its temporal resolution. No measurements. I wrote 3 books and all details are there. MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better than Tissue Doppler of the same reason. Tried to write a paper with Houston University to compare with Tau but "theyr cardiac sonographer would be unable to do it" I am not attached to any University and is though to publish in a solo situation. And really I just don't care anymore. Those who have years of experience on echo do not like if you tel them they have not notice this abnormality so obvious at a PLAX. IF you have the opportunity feel free to write a paper yourself. I can give you more details how to evaluate with M mode.
