they are universal joints and they have alamites that I'm sure u have never greased nor the person before u lol routine maintenance goes a long way I have replaced a few on the 800s I've had but they give clear warning signs before they just blow up that's part of why only adults should ride atvs this size u should have heard or felt a clunk and checked it it had to have been doin it for weeks
