For anyone wondering the place as of 27/11/24 is almost gone the main area is almost flattened leaving the kids area and tower along with slide exits.

Interesting place and great explore lots of industrial machinery going to waste and how they made the workers redundant was not fair either at short notice, the same thing happened to me in 1988 I turned up for work at 5:45am to find the entire workforce outside a large sign on the door of the factory to tell us our jobs were gone and a TV crew on hand to get the workers reactions, anyway keep up the good work will look forward to the next one.

Where is this house ?

It reminds me of a plant I worked next to some years back, the lab I worked in was on the site but I only got a few chances to walk around the industrial heart of it, those days felt like christmas to me haha. Looks like sand or cement processing, they're quite similar. Cool site but a lot of hidden nasties there, definitely one for wearing a mask. Probably several types of dust there that will make home in the lungs. I used to wear masks exploring but stopped wearing them after a while, a decade on with COPD however I would have done things differently if I could go back in time. Look after those lungs guys :)

I got to that school rn and they got like £3m to revamp it and now it's a 6 form area and it has a very good eSports room for enrichment and I got to it every Wednesday 😊

I would have loved to have seen what year was on those calendars in the bullet room. Crazy that certain parts look from the 1980’s but there are sky digital boxes which makes me think it must have only been abandond less than 10 years. I dont understand how it can be left in that state

Rydal Preparatory School in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. I studied there from 1963-1966. My sister taught there and eventually became head teacher. It used to be a hotel and has extensive grounds with football and cricket pitches, a walled garden, a golf course and a wooded area known as "The Mountain". The school was part of Rydal School which later joined up with Penrhos College to become Rydal Penrhos and also absorbed Lyndon School (where I also studied), an infants' school. Rydal Penrhos was a boarding school but as demand has fallen for boarding schools, it is now becoming a day school and many of its sleeping houses are being sold off and redeveloped.

Great to have a look round at some great workings of the mining industry and the machinery, I do agree that it should be preserved as best as possible so the public can visit it as a mining museum, also in that engine room I spotted an old 1975 Sanyo music centre or what was left of it I recognised it as my parents had one from brand new that year, keep up the good work and will look forward to the next video.

Went there in 1984 when it was the mining museum,I remember all the engines 8n working order,gleaming steel and shiny paint,still have the photos

yes lad, ive done it years ago. Climbed over the spiked fence by that wheel. just gotta watch them cameras. the security are a meme but they do turn up with dogs.

My dads and my husband work y family was miner we grow up on coal in South Yorkshire they built new houses pn our coal site

im really upset this has happened what the hell! i demand a new waterpark is built that place was part of our childhood sure theres other swimming places but this one was special it had 17 slides 4 pools including a pool that went outside it like going on holiday for 2 hours coolest swimming pool ive been too. the vertical slide called Kamikaze it feels like your flying on the drop.

The yellow spray paint everywhere...that was me :)

So sad to see it close,but maybe open it has an ice skating rink? And bowling? A multiple place of entertainment,I’m sure that would do well in that area

@9:37 pretty sure that is where they burn the hairs off the skin? Not sure. Never worked in a pig house. I've worked on a lamb and beef house before. Crazy that all of this is just left there.

Used to love going here when i was little. Been over 25 years since ive seen those slides and the lazy lagoon river. Remember that bit you could go outside on a rubber ring and it was fucking freezing 😂

Why do they have to close hospitals when people need them. I have never been to a hospital yet?
