It provides a cheap part to get scraped that is easy and fast to replace over the whole radiator mount. Also, it is 3/16 of an inch thick metal, so it barely adds and easy to replace. I think it's a win and so does my friend that is certified to repair Mercedes, BMW, Lexus, Audi, and McClaren. So I like it, but you don't need to do it. Your car, your rules. I did not like the stock radio. I changed the radio and it made a big difference. Before changing everything, try that. If you still want better sound, then try changing the speakers too. Enjoy

Electronics are changing too quickly and I have not looked into those in quite some time. I suggest going to a car audio store and tell them you are in the planning stages and want to know your options for products that would complement each other and fit in your vehicle. Then you can see if it fits your total budget. Be upfront with them that you are in the planning stages and you are putting your self in a good position to make an educated decision.

There has to be a screw holding your current shift knob in place. If it is aftermarket, then it could have 3 screws like the aftermarket knob in my video. Just look around the base of the knob and you should find a screw.

I turned down the volume on the little black box before install and the chime was not too loud.

It was not slippery once dry and wiped off. So you can drive easily.

Each item should tell you what it adds in performance numbers. Varies by manufacturer. So a cold air intake could add 3 to 10 HP. Depends on which one you get. So no way to tell. You need tonget that info from the cam manufacturer, the intake manufacturer, and the long tube headers manufacturer then add them up. But after all those add ons, you should have your car dyno tuned and it would be able to add even more power.

Check the cable in the back. Maybe not in all the way. If you hit a big bump and was not in all the way, it could slip out enough to not connect. Happened on my Harley radio before. If so, tape them in so the stay.

This radio has the body of a single din radio, but the screen of a double din radio. The bracket kit that has the radio trim plate can do single or double din bodies, but the radio trim piece that goes around the screen and you see when installed is for a double din. You would have to look for a single din trim plate for your car. If you find that, then it would work in your Corvette. I do not have the part# for a single din radio. I'm sure you can do a quick Google search and find it. The wiring kit would be the same, as it is what goes for that car regardless of single or double din radio.

Sounds like you are not aligning the clockspring properly in order to push the steering wheel all the way back into the steering column. If the clockspring is not aligned right, it sticks out and doesn't allow the steering wheel to go in all the way.

Does it take force or should it slide right in when it’s aligned right? I tried putting it in at all different angles and trying to force it in and never was able to get in in all the way

It does not take force and should fit right in.. Just keep turning the clock spring until it pushes in further. If you force it, it will break.

This BMW is just a temporary toy. I find joy in buying, customizing, and then selling. The guy that bought my vette was so happy, he came back to thank me. That feeling was awesome. I hope to do the same with this car.
