Nintendo is the last company with any power in 2024. Sony releases 1 good game every 5 years. 1 indie game gets a spot on value every 3 or so years. Meanwhile, Square-Enix died in quality, Ubisoft is a shadow of its former self, Rockstar is asleep for a decade and Konami killed off Metal Gear and tries to make it work without Hideo Kojima... just no. Really mediocre gaming times. Compare this to the 1996-2006 decade and its painful how many solid titles were released in that time frame.

Do you have any sources whatsoever that say this will happen? Forza is Microsoft's baby and they've been pretty adamant about it staying the the XBOX family thus far. That would be like Sony saying they'd bring GT7 (which, as you know, is one of the most well-reviewed and highly respected racing games in the world) to the XBOX.

So, any regrets after installing it? Do you tweak your game performance per game as i do? If so, can you now access anisotropic-filtering, or it still not available? My main concern is; "Will I still be able to use the usual Nvidia desktop control panel AS WELL - as have this new app installed?" Or does it ERASE it entirely, leaving me without custom control?

The app needs to uninstall drivers the right way like ddu but even if u do a complete uninstall with the app still leaves traces of old files .so its still better use ddu.but always pain.

PS5 Pro is a spearhead for the PS6. All the data gained from this aera will give Sony better data to make the PS6. PSSR will be tons better at the PS6 launch, devs will already have good knowledge of it etc. And it's still early. We won't see really good PSSR implementations for probably 6 months. With that said. The Pro isn't _needed_ by anyone at all. The amateur PS5 still has legs live & kicking. For people with 4k 120Hz VRR, preferably OLED sets, it's a good upgrade. For everyone else, maybe not as much. But regardless.. All the data Sony gets from this will result in a better base PS6 for everyone.

So the ryzen 7 9800x3d came out. With tax, it cost me 522$ from Micro Center. And yes I will be selling it for a 40/50$ profit. I'm working heart & soul to keep my family afloat. I barely even had enough money in the bank to buy the cpu. But I'll still make a few bucks in profit if I can. I'm dirt poor and nobody would give a fu*k if my family is hungry. I seriously doubt any decent game will run true 8k on it. If it does they probably downgrade other things to be able to do it. The pro isn't that much more powerful as DF has already said.

I own almost all of the Analogue consoles/systems for TV usage. They are all great for what they do. You can forget the $249 price tag if you're in the UK the shipping is express UPS which is $80 (no other choice) and when it arrives in the UK you have to add import tax on the $80+$249. It ends up costing someone in the UK over $400. On the bright side all of Analogues consoles are either out of stock or soon to be, which means they fetch more on ebay than their MSRP. I have a Analogue 3D on order. I have the SNES, Megadrive, Duo and NES Analogue consoles. These consoles are boutique items, when you open the box you feel like you opened a very expensive piece of kit. They are not plastic junk that you find on Ali express. The NES console is solid metal and weighs a ton and now costs $900 on the used market.

What is the point of this? N64 games were very low polygon and low quality textures due to the restrictions of the technology, moving them up to 4K isn't going to change that.

i think the Switch can very much appeal to the adult market too depending on the games you play

I don’t think Sony are really pinning any dreams on the ps5 Pro. Its not meant to be a “taking the market” type console. The updated versions historically have always had good success, it’s not really any different than updating and ridiculously good graphics card to a new model. It’s a bit of a novelty really but by no means will it change the landscape. It makes sense based on past releases.

Always remebering having to wire it all in to the VCR through the aerial cable and having to tune it in manually via the UHF Mhz on the TV.

Superb Gamer list ranking 😎. Just love the reminiscing of the good old 90's days & super awesome consoles. Can't beat the old compton's interactive encyclopedia 1999 encarta, if that didn't have the answer, no one did. Commodore 64 was first for me as well and just love & hated those cassette tapes, especially when one would accidentaly hit the stop button mid game and cause the game to crash & lose it all, then having to load it all again with no save options. Coaxial RF splitters were king back then. Sega Mega CD was such a advancement in loading time, just instant loved it compared to cassettes & 5.25" floppies with Cmms Prompt & not having to turn them over. Yet could never find a lot of games back then to play on the Sega CD side. Only really ever played revenge of Shinobi on the CD. Along with the Original Sega Master System & the NES was some fantastic games. But even the Word programme on Commodore 64 had such a nac to it, of having to align it all by guessing and printing until one got it all right, as on screen had no resembleance to how it printed. You all truly make me wish I kept all of the consoles and stuff back then, jogging lots of fun memories with your intersting podcasts. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🙌👍👍👍👍👍
