AnandTech website announced, weeks ago, that it will close. What changed in the way we perceive IT after 27 years, how this media rose and fall? Was it due to UA-cam (no, it was less than you expect). I think you will understand, in a very long video, that it was all about opportunities and money that are not there, anymore.

It is always advisable to not leave an old battery inside a laptop, as they can suddenly bulge and fail in a nasty way. This battery did not show any issue one year ago, still detached, and now was found in this state.

Beware of old batteries kept in storage too many years. Although they may have a lot of capacity left, they may still leak and this video proves well that it can happen! I test the battery's voltage and short-circuit current with the classic UNI-T 33C digital multimeter, proving that batteries can still show relatively healthy and only a visual inspection proves otherwise.
