Tree and Berry Planting on Reservation Land in South Dakota (2024) - Episode One: Wounded Knee
Переглядів 3,5 тис.Місяць тому
Narrated by Leola One Feather and another anonymous grandmother, this video details planting across two sites in Wounded Knee, South Dakota. These areas have a long-held shadow of oppression and broken trust that our crew is grateful to have assisted in helping heal through restorative efforts. There are a variety of issues the Lakota/Sioux are confronting, and this series is a contribution tow...
Sunkwanka Agli Horse Camp Project -- Bridger, SD

We are constructing a horse camp to serve at-risk youth with members of the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe. Thanks to some amazing volunteers, traditional knowledge, and collaboration from the tribal government, we are building something that will hopefully serve many kids and help guide them away from more unhealthy paths. Special thanks to Antinanco, PAZA Tree of Life, and Turtle Island United fo...
Pandemic aid for the Hopi, AVOIDING GLOBAL CATASTROPHE, and creating collective security
Переглядів 3283 роки тому
Thanks to a generous donor, we were able to deliver some pandemic aid to the Hopi tribe. I've known a few members of the tribe for a couple of years and have been working towards ways to collaborate on creating consistent food and shelter security for everyone. With adequate resources, we can realistically provide these things globally before climate consequences hit home. If you'd like to get ...

Being operational for 10 years, their egalitarian approach to community equally weighs all voices and promotes a collective-sustaining lifestyle, largely free from the financial burdens of society. Having the desire to expand their vision exponentially across the world, it is their...

A later interview with Randy Ferrell occurred on Harmony Farms where he shares details about how he got to where he is. With an ever-increasing attraction to cultivation in light of the worsening pandemic...
Food Availability, Security, and How We Can Help Each Other and Ourselves

With changing times, an uncertain road ahead, and diminished ability to provide for ourselves in way we have been, it's time we look at ways we can be self-sufficient in how we achieve food security. Taking initiative in you and your community's health by being proactive in growing our own food is the most efficient way we can invest in our well-being and prevent catastrophe should the supply c...
The Pandemic, Service, Hope, Resources, and How We Can Shorten Each Other's Roads
Переглядів 514 роки тому
The news is depressing, leaders serve themselves, and we struggle to make ends meet. More people are becoming affected in deeper ways by the pandemic, and plans to improve the future are not occurring at a systemic level. Everyone's best bet is to join together and limit how much pain each other experiences through service.

I am watching the doc, & I have to say I am disabled, broke my pelvis 7 times in 8 months, the plate somehow, clavicle, tailbone x2, sacrum and was still on crutches after 2 years and I bought a shovel. I also have sciatica, I have this rare muscle disease, degenerative & bulging discs and I spend every sec of the day, and night with a head lamp and learned how to trellis in multiple ways, grew everything for 5 years in Wisconsin. I can and freeze everything I can and Oak is pathetic for just whining and pointing the finger bc no one likes someone who talks about ppl, doesn't participate etc and ppl like him, who give up, let yourself go, and have an excuse for everything. Wtf did he expect? Oh he said Navy Seals etc. it's ppl like him who gives me a bad name bc I am too disabled. It's about not giving up.

Hi. I am intending to create and establish a long term, lifelong and everlasting food forest as well as find friends and family to plant, create, care and maintain this food forest. So that everyone who looks after and cares for this food forest always has food and water and nobody runs out of food and water due to droughts, wars, famines, diseases or political unrest. Also so we can reduce the harm being done to our family, friends, people, the earth and our natural environment in our local area surrounding us. We are creating this food forest by making large vegetable gardens and planting lots of fruit trees, as well as learning to live off grid and self-sufficient as much as possible so we will be less effected by the droughts and wars, famines, diseases etc. Although we are not fully off grid and self-sufficient. We are trying to learn all off grids skills as much as possible so we can stop supporting the harm as quickly as possible and so that we can pass these skills and knowledge onto our future children and grandchildren, and descendants as well as future friends. We are into organic vegetable gardening, food preserving, food growing, food storing, seed saving as well as animal care, building natural shelters, all that comes with building such as plumbing, water harvesting etc. We are interested in and learning about beekeeping, breadmaking, bushcraft survival skills, and also permaculture, organic gardening and biodynamics. My son has had some experience in all these fields of endeavors some more than others. He has lived off grid on various farms and have skills to share. If anyone is keen or interested in sharing their knowledge, ideas, skills, effort, labor or time in any or all of these points of interest please feel free to contact us. WE ARE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN LIVING OFF GRID AND SELF-SUFFICENT LONG TERM OR FOR THE REST OF THERE LIVES WHICH EVER TOWN OR COUNTRY OR PROVINCE OR STATE THAT THEY CHOOSE TO BE IN. We are very clean living, we don't use drugs, we don't smoke, and we don't consume alcohol and we have no addictions. I, (Juliette), have a husband and two other adult sons. We are located in Longreach, Queensland, Australia. Contact me on facebook: facebook.com/profile.php?id=100093716859864 or email: foodforesthaven@mail.com

However I feel I have a lot to offer a community like this. Its a shame that there is so much hate over something like this. Its SO eco friendly and is so equalizing. Much respect!!

It's funny how people these days want to be seen as how they are identified by and doesn't like society judging them because they don't want to fit the stereotypical male/female but yet are so hypocritical at judging others like from the garden who are also finding themselves and finding out who they are. What hypocritical BS. You can't judge me because I don't fit the norm but yet I'm going to judge you because you don't get to norm. Bravo to what you all have done. They have essentially created The Beach with Leonardo DiCaprio except inland. I love it and awesome as hell.

i saw the vice documentry on The Garden. This documentary was typical propaganda of our system who controle the media. believe me, comunes like this are not supported by the government or better people who runes our system. And i understand, some people do not understand this way of living, so they try to sabotag systems like the garden. If you don't consume, work all day like a slave, watch tv, TikTok or other social media, you are a treath for them, because they do not understand other ways of living. And how are some tiktokers so evil and envious, but they are doing this only for views, because some people exploit the situation, they should be more human. now you see how some people are programmed by the system (school/politicians) and by the media. And programming starts in younger ages.

First hand experience in community is truly inspiring and the best way to learn about the movement. Also, many mistakes can be avoided by studying the successes and failures of fallen communities. For this I recommend reading Diana Leafe Christian’s books. She has studied intention communities for decades and has disseminated valuable information in her books.

I lived half of my life in Lafayette, Tennessee. Macon county... Just moved away from there after a mental breakdown in August of 2019. There's something strange about that town in general. I'm a loner, always have been. Thing is though I've wondered about cults and brain washing in that town. Anderson funeral home was right behind my Hollis Apartment building. They were holding meetings in that building constantly. It has a very large parking area, and it was full all the time at night especially. Sometimes clear up through midnight...
