I moved from Powder Springs to Fayetteville because you get more land and a larger house for your money. Additionally, the school district in this area is excellent.

The aerial drone shots really points out the largeness of those APARTMENT neighborhoods - all in the same area - all possibly built at the same time. It looks nice and brand new, but it's not my preference to have a manufactured neighborhood - granted nearly everything in a 3 block neighborhood. I prefer a variety of more organic-types of neighborhoods, with the scattering of a few apartment buildings - not the apartment buildings being the main source of housing - it just brings home the point that no one with regular incomes can afford to purchase homes anymore. My husband has to now 'work from office' rather than remotely, his company eliminated their locations in California and only gave the option of Georgia to relocate to. We're going to take a look around at apartments and the day-to-day living aspect of this area to see if it will tick off all our boxes. Don't get me wrong, I like Georgia. But I can't take the humidity and the drastic changes of weather anymore - I spent most of my life in an area like this. Hopefully, my husband will be in agreement, fingers-crossed.

Great job. My wife and I moved here to Roswell a few years back from downtown Los Angeles - quick a culture shock! But in a good way. There are some nuisances, but overall we really love it here.

Florida has a lot of places similar to metro Atlanta. Jacksonville and parts of metro Orlando have similar vibes. If you want mountains you have to go out of state. Jacksonville is basically a mix of Atlanta and Miami.
