Oh thank you! Oh really? Its a pretty fast shutter speed. The fstop of f4 helps a bit to get a little bit more sharpness as well. What are you shooting with?

@@Chris_Palmer I have a z50 with the kit lens 16-50, maybe it has to do with the lens itself? I don't think it's the sharpest hehe

Not a bad camera to start with! Yeah kit lenses are not the sharpest due to how they are built and the quality of glass that is in them. However you can still get great shots with them! How bad is the motion blur? Are your kids full on running or playing when you are shooting? I know it’s hard to grab a good shot of kids sometimes haha my daughter never stays still for long haha

@@Chris_Palmer usually just fumbling around (can't run yet! 6 months old :D) the blur is not terrible but noticeable with zoom like on his hand or feet. Thanks for the reply! I will keep trying and if I eventually improve maybe I can get a 40mm or the new 50mm f1.4 :)

Oh you have a young one! Mine is turning 2 in a couple of months and she never stays still for long. The 50 mm is a fantastic lens and a great all all around work lens. I think you would love it. Let me know if you have any questions I am happy to help!

Thank you for your kind words about boba I really appericate that. I really enjoyed using the mattress. I too, thought I would feel the incline but I really didnt! My only issue was the getting the headrest area to where it wouldnt fall while I slept, like I meantioned in the video. They have a insert that goes under the mattress to aid in that slight slope and I am planning on getting that as well so peace of mind you could look at that? Once I got comfortable, I was out! The foam in the mattress is really comfy and I am kinda sad I didnt think about getting one before now haha.

Hi Chris That is awesome to hear about the mattress. To help solve you head issue try looking something called a Backseat Bivy. It’s a support that fits around your head rests and attaches to the car seat bracket on the Subaru. I’ve use it once and it worked really well so far

Yeah you have a few good points there. However it is still a stylistic choice if people what to try it out. Plus, dont you get a strong vignette if you stack a polarizer and mist filter? That was the entire reason for the creation of these filters I do believe.

​@@Chris_Palmer vintage depends on focal length. I would be surprised if got vintage from a 35mm lens by stacking (normal quality) filters. I stack tiffen mist filter + urth polarizer filter. Never encounter that issue. BTW, Shortstache doesn't shot wide angle lens often. So stacking filter is completely fine for anyone want to "MIMIC" his style.

Aww Thank you! He was a very handsome model to shoot. I still update my contracts and prices all the time. I have to force myself when I have down time to think about doing that so I stay on top of it. Its stressful I know but once you get past the first few clients it gets easier.

@@Chris_Palmer Absolutely, yeah definitely enjoy the "just get out with what you have" mindset. I have a ground tent, will take a few trips out a year with the wife and dogs, and a few trips with friends here and there - work keeps me busy, but hoping to increase that in the coming fall/winter season!

No! It is not a stupid question at all! It really depends. I always try to expose for the highlights, so yes I do underexpose but, the amount varies. I usually try to bring my histogram highlights down as much as I can so that I have more control in post. Its a fine balance honestly. Do you use the zebras on your camera? That helps me to find that balance per shot. I hope that makes sense? Let me know if it doesnt.

I use to camp on the ground all the time and I too had that fear of waking up with a bear poking at my tent. A tear drop camper would be really nice to have! I just don't have the space for anything like that, so I had to work with what I have. Sleeping in the forester was fantastic especially if you get it setup the way you want it.
