It's great we can play for 30 to 45 minutes out of the 90, usually when are behind. by which time it's all over. Unfortunately that's just not good enough. Warne has an awful record as a Championship Manger, 0.89 points per game average over 150 odd games in charge is a large enough sample to say he isn't going to keep us up. A win on Saturday will just be papering over the cracks, a loss and I can't see how he can stay, 17 games left which imo we will need to get 25 points to stay up, 6 wins and 7 draws can you see it happening?

It’s dangerous to chop and change your manager at any club so I understand the owner standing by PW but results cannot continue without condemning us to relegation. If new faces are coming in which can genuinely improve the first team then maybe give PW more time. If the players are staying the same there has to be a new management team ASAP because we have run out of both time and ideas with the current squad. COYR

No ,he can't. The guy is clueless and has lost the players faith and confidence in him. Paul Warne keeps on hiding behind the false understanding that he needs fresh faces. This is untrue. The team is good enough for a Top Half finish. The problem is Paul Warne. You could get him a whole team of new players and the results will still be the same. The fans were calling for his head in Division 1. He's an abject failure in the Championship, proven time, time, and time again. I wouldn't give him a dime to spend. People who complained about him and his poor football in the Division one were told by the blind that the team was not his players. They said let him get his players then judge him. Now he has his players and we are judging him, now we're told that he needs more time. The longer this clown is in charge the harder it will be to survive the drop. Look at the young talent that has also left Derby under his management to go to lesser/smaller clubs. Why? The guy is a fool with a 20% win rate in the Championship with a 50% loss rate. Form for the last 5, 10 ,15, 20, 25, and 30 matches have Derby consistently in the bottom 3. Why are people still backing this Charlatan? Get rid and good riddance!

I will always have big respect to Warne for getting us out of league one which is not an easy job! Sadly I think if he stays it's heading for a repeat of him at Rotherham. Then again we probably can't afford to sack him which is when bigger investment in the club is needed. As much as Clowes is a LEGEND for saving us, he's just not rich enough :(

I'm a big fan of this podcast, gents, and I rarely comment, but I am disappointed at how negative this episode has been. Jamie did well to try and balance his opinion but it sounds to me like all three of you want Warne out. There has been no mention of the standard of opposition we have played recently. In our last 12 games, we have lost 9 games and we have played 9 sides in the top 10. Reality is that we are a team that want to avoid relegation. I think considering the fact that we have had injuries, there has only been a few games where we have come away knowing that we were out of our depth (Leeds/Watford). Warne has made some poor signings in Jackson and Osborne, but he has made some very good signings in Salvesen, Eboue, Yates, Goudmijn, Zetterstrum. I don't understand why he brings on Barkhuisen. But on the most part I like the timing of his substitutions. Paul Warne needs to keep his players fit, sign a couple of good additions as expected to in the coming days, and results will come. We have the most favourable run-in. Keep the faith 🐑

The current manager was never Derby County calibre. It was a surprising appointment, it smacks of small club mentality. If Derby are happy to just exist and make up the numbers,then Warne is your man,if however they want to progress,then swift and decisive action is required.

Our midfield is always looking sideways. When oh when will we drive through the middle. The team gives its all no question. We just need some decent luck for a change.

Until we get a settled team with some new faces as well, it's not really fair to judge PW. At present we are not up to it - not through lack of effort but through lack of consistency of selection and through lack of quality in certain areas. PW is not responsible for all of this as he has no control over injuries. Here we have to question recruitment. How could we afford to sign players who were already injured, eg, Washington, Ward, Elder, CBT, Osborne and, if it happens, Matt Clarke who apparently has a history of back problems? But it IS fair to ask about the way we often start games - too much respect for the opposition and too much timidity - and why, if true, PW listens too much to his medical/fitness gurus.

Time for a change, let's not go out with a wimper. Warne not good enough

The season was going OK until the two games where we lost to really late goals, one was wed at home and the other away. Think that knocked their confidence and they haven't been right since

Did my usual Xmas visit home from NZ…..saw two wins and a loss to Leeds which could of been a higher score if not for our keeper. Do not get our tactics……hope it turns around…..one day hopefully we will be playing Forrest. NZ Ram

Pushing Kenzo and Ebou wide. back 4 on the ball has zero option but to play warne ball by whacking it to the wings and hopefully they can pick up the second ball by over loading the wings. Say we get the second ball and ball goes out wide to the byline how is the only option in the box a 5ft 9” striker with no runs to the far post from the wingers. That is absolutely shocking and i’ve backed him to adapt but we’re 1 point outside the relegation zone and nothing is changing. I genuinely have no idea how we got promoted last year with this tactic.

Worrying times indeed. I have to say I am starting to wobble on my support for Warne. I so wanted it to work out for him, but it has been poor for weeks. I agree that we had enough chances to get something from the game this time, which hasn't been the case generally. But poor, panicked finishing resulted in no goals and yet another defeat. I hope it turns for us, but getting nervous! Great chat guys, keep it up and COYR!

Ebou was right in his post-match interview. We ARE creating chances and surely eventually our luck (and finishing) will change!?

Warnes Championship record is very poor. He is a L1 Manager.

The team cannot play the style of football Paul Warne wants to play. Warne is very slow to react to the situation on the pitch, and when he does make a change it seems as if he is not watching the game. The players are of course to blame and need to be more aggressive and sort out their first touch and passing. Both of which are poor and invariably lead to the other team having an advantage.

Why is it every season around this time we aways hit a baron patch

Everyone seems to be talking about Warne not having a plan B, but forget that when he does make changes they go catastrophically wrong. I managed to get to the game against Plymouth in November and we should have walked that game. Plymouth offered absolutely nothing but walked away with a point through a lucky deflected shot. Goudmijn completely controlled that game and I am sure we would have gone on to take the lead again but Warne took him off at 64' and it took all the wind out of our sails.

Hi, I believe pre Xmas Clowes was interviewed by Rams Tv. Clowes said our squad was a competitive Champ. Squad. I want Warne to succeed but clearly he isn’t meeting the owners expectations. 0 points from next two games I think his job is probably untenable. The thing is we arent playing badly, we hit the bar twice in 10 seconds and created enough. Hopefully the viking will start putting the chances away and everyone will relax.

Whatever you think of PW there is no way David Clowes/DCFC can afford to part company not just with PW but with his support staff. Added to that, who is there who is available to replace him and at what cost and could he do any better? Don't forget all the injuries and how well we were doing before they cropped up. Finally, as is the norm when form is lacking, lady luck does no favours at all.

Unfortunately paul warnes style of play isn't working so a change must be made before we step back into the bottom 3

I still have faith in this team and the manager. Plenty of games this season where we've made the other team look ordinary. Bad luck in a lot of games. Owls at home, last minute deflections and goals. Keep the faith

Top show lads Hate to say it but there’s no surprise regarding the team and where we are in the league. but I can’t blame Paul Warne and his coaching team in his defence he’s done exactly what he’s always done in his managerial career and he was personally invited to do the job and backed with a four year contract by the current owner and the CEO.
