Thanks for posting this, good to see. I am an astrophotographer living in the U.K. and since 2012 there has been a tendency for increasing night time cloud, so that now it is quite rare to have a clear night to image. Quite a dramatic effect of climate change in northern lattitudes. :(. Gone from around 100 clear nights in 2002 to around 4 in 2023.

OMFG.. Kalgoorlie is Not pretty!! Sure, some of the surrounding bushland is, but the town is a shithole and the local council has a lot to answer for in regards to why that is. Do yourself a favour and give this place a miss as it hasn't improved in over 20 years and doubt it ever will.
