Well, must say that shoulders , back and hips should be straight and aligned. At least thats the method from 'kneesovertoesguy'.

Crossfit is junk, does more harm than good, and I'd be embarrassed to be associated with it - but this is the best demo of the KOT calf raise I've seen.

I had always heard that if your knee goes over your feet line it might cause an injury.
Thats why we have regression. Check out @thekneesovertoesguy ‘s videos on them

I've been doing so many atg split squats that my ankle mobility keeps my heels down until I get my feet wayyy back
That’s great! What do you plan on doing with the ankle range of motion? Play a sport? Perform a lift?
@@CrossFitMagni squats! Always wanted that perfect ATG squat and ive been doing a lot of seated goodmornings to correct my butt wink. Just ordered some reebok weightlifting shoes with a heel lift to make it even easier so my squats should be A+
This not correct, start with both knees bent not straight
That’s correct. Thank you. I do find it best to start with both legs completely straight to find appropriate depth for the individual though.
It is amazing how difficult this is standing flat foot on the floor and concentrating on the movement!

I just started reverse walking and pulling a weight. I took an old canvas bag, put a 50 pound bag of play sand in it and threaded a rope through a foam pool noodle to use for my sled.

What do I do if it hurts my big toe on the back foot, when doing the split squat? Thanks
Without knowing exactly what position your back foot is in... I would have to encourage you to check out tib raises and calf raise variations to strength the ankle and muscles of the foot. There are also some foot drills that would be beneficial... that serves to solve the problem. To continue doing these split squats, first see if an elevated forward leg makes the movement doable... the consider padding under the rear foot, and then there is one other tool that is far to complicated to explain here!
@@CrossFitMagni Thanks for the reply! I will try to see if I can pad a bit better next time, and likely some assistance so I am able to slow down the moment a bit to find proper stability on the foot
