I can’t find the tape in stores!😢
Sorry! Sometimes you can find a similar product at CVS or even Walmart. But I haven't had as much luck with those. You can order it online though, there is a link in the video description!

Thanks! All I had was scotch tape but hey It’s better than nothing And you earned a subj🎉
I'd be careful with scotch tape. Not sure if it will work and the adhesive might tear the skin when you pull it off. Also it doesn't let the skin breathe. The kinesiology tape has more elasticity, breathability and the unique design makes channels that move the swelling along under the skin. It's meant to be worn on the skin. Hope it works for you! But be careful out there! Thanks for the sub. :)
I have a huge bruise right behind my knee. Which direction should I place the tape? If I do it upwards my knee will fold into it.
I'd actually do it upwards! The tape will bend better that way. Also, it's good to have a half inch to inch at each end with no stretch. That will help it stay on better. Even horizontal will work though. It should bend with your leg just fine. If it comes off, just put another one on. Hope that helps! Sorry for the late reply! Feel free to give us an update on your progress!

Thanks for letting me know. I'm always curious how many people know about different products. Since I use it regularly, I don't know what other people think! :)
I have a bruise on each thigh from repeat trauma. It’s 3 months old and faded 90% but some staying is left behind. Arnica cream not working. Any advice for really old bruises should I see a doctor?
You could see a doctor, but they probably won't have much to help. Repeated trauma can actually permanently stain the skin. I'd try the tape and see where it gets you. Also heat and massage might help clear things up a bit.
Can you use that on your face
Works well on foreheads and over cheek bones. Not as good over the fleshy part of the cheek and have to be careful by the eye lids. Baby oil helps it come off easier otherwise you could tear the skin. I'd try cutting off a small piece to see how it comes off. Also lift the tape gently and push the skin towards the face to remove reduces the risk of tearing sensitive skin. But yes, it will work!
@@soundbalancephysicaltherap6849 thanks!
Yes
Can rubbing/massaging a bruise help it go away
Gentle circular rubbing and stroking can help. Try moving very gently towards the midline of the body and up the legs and arms. For the face move up and towards the temples and ears.

My son-in-law is a kinesiologist.
Congratulations! They know a lot about how the body functions. He's probably a great resource for you. Be sure to follow through with his recommendations.
Great I found this link. Just ordered

Would this be ok to use on the elderly ? I ask because they tend to have thinner more sensitive skin.
Bristol, yes, most elderly would be fine unless they are super brittle. There are different brands and different levels of tape. They usually say how many days they can stay on. For an elderly person I'd use the one with the fewest days. I usually use kinesio gold and it works well for most older folks and stays on and comes off well. For younger folks I will use the next level up, KT tape or rock tape which a lot of CrossFit athletes use. It would be way too aggressive for most elderly. Also stay clear of the "sport" ones for brittle skin. Whatever you use, baby oil will break down the adhesive and help it come off easier. I have seen elderly clients tear skin taking it off, so be careful. Also try lifting the tape gently and pushing the skin down off of the tape which works better. Usually it starts coming off on its own after a couple days. Also pat it dry after showers, don't rub it or it might come off on the towel.
No. Never heard if it before.
Hope you give it a try!

where do you get this?
This is an Amazon affiliate link, so I might get a small amount of money back if you purchase with this link. This is a small roll of the exact brand that I use in the clinic. amzn.to/372FKXr
Please take your mask off. I am vaccinated.
Glad you got the vaccine. I did too. We film in our clinic in WA state during business hours. We have to follow local restrictions. Hopefully we can de-mask soon. Thanks for watching!
Good topic, good advice. In essence, sit less than 6 hours per day. This video should have been shorter. I liked the video after the first 5 minutes.
That's a good summary. Also sitting longer than 20 minutes in a stretch is not great. Keep moving! Thanks for the feedback!

Appreciate the video, but i think she's just kind of letting her arms drop uncontrolled when she lowers the weights? Wouldn't that hurt a patient with an injury?
After re-watching the video, I see what you are referring to. She did let her arms drop without controlling the weight once however, the other times she did control the weight as she lowered to her side. You are correct. You will want to control the weight at all times to prevent injury.

Could this method be applied to a black eye or another bruise on the face?
The skin around the eye is not strong enough and is too loose for this application. It's likely to tear the skin. The cheek, jaw or forehead would be fine. Temple and chin would depend on the person, but probably fine except for the elderly. If you have trouble pulling it off Soak it with baby oil, then lift one edge and try pulling the skin down away from the tape instead of tearing the tape up away from the skin. Great question! Good luck.
