The Jim On Homes Channel is about everything HOMES! In Wisconsin, we get plenty of snow, and I purchased a 72" Denali snow plow for my 2015 Polaris Ranger 900 EXP. This video details the unboxing and install of the plow. The process of putting the pieces together was relatively simple and went together easily. Works great and moves the snow just fine! What was the price for that part?
That wooden sculpture of the man with the top hat use to be a very large oak tree, that came down during a vicious storm one spring. I lived on that street for 19-years and saw a few ress come down and crush a few cars. I was lucky in that I had a 2-car garage, and I stayed in the ONLY house, which had a driveway that faced the court. You don't get to see it in this video but in one of the scenes, the cameraman is standing right in front of my house.
My wife and I are planning to take a Bourbon Trail trip this year and after watching several videos we found yours and it was definitely one of the best. Also we really enjoyed your Gag Reel.
I have to agree with dougkaspar9756. I just purchased the Denali Universal for my 2013 Polaris. The snow plow assembly was fairly straight forward. Now I am at the mounting bracket part. The mounting bracket comes with its own box of parts and hardware. Mounting the bracket(s) will probably take a while. If I had a camera I might be inclined to video the process but I dont and so i wont. After I get it mounted I might return with a verbal summary of the process I am going to try.
Whoot whoot from the A-Team 😘😘😉
Video would have been better if you would have shown how you installed mounting bracket on Polaris
Agree that's most of the work
Power tools are your friend, friend lol..
Great series!
Thank you Jeff! I appreciate your support!
Nice video Jim!
Thanks Jonah! Been watching your fishing! You are doing great!
That's better. Now your wife won't be ashamed to be seen in public with you.
LMAO, She IS the one who requested this cut, and to grow SOMEof it back!
Can you repeat what you said? I was too occupied watching your beard slowly disappear during the video lmao.
Love it Brother!!
LOL, That was a 1 take kinda video.. no reshoots after the fact!!
Better listen to Jim! Watch this video from Myth Busters a few years ago where safety systems were removed and they let one over heat. ua-cam.com/video/rGWmONHipVo/v-deo.html
Thanks Jeff! I appreciate your support!
You are missing a part. The rubber flap on top.
They never sent one! but for my use, it still works great!
You didn't even show us what you saw that made you know it was the hot wire. You just said that you touched the two things together and it was hot - you didn't tell us how to determine that on our own.
I am going to re-watch the video and see if I can see what you are saying, let me get back to you!
OK, I had a chance to look at the video again. The Hot in the fixture is the little part in the very bottom of the light socket. So by touching 1 probe there, and the other probe to one of the wires, you can tell which wire is hot. The Threads in the socket are the Neutral, so by doing the same thing, you can isolate the Neutral wire. The mystery of the wires is that there was an extra, that did not have any continuity to any part of the lamp... just an extra wire I guess! Hope that helps! THanks for watching!
Beautiful home and neighborhood. Nice job on the video. Enjoyed it 👍
Thanks Jeff!!
Great video.
Thanks!
Hello, where exactly is this? Great video!
It is on Lido Beach; however, when they renourished the beach, the rocks were burried.
same here I was wiring a chandelier and could not figure it out. Thanks
Glad I could help
Ground?
Where did you touch for the neutral? It was cut off in the video.
Hi, Thanks for watching! The Neutral is the threaded area in the light fixture. The hot part of the socket is at the deepest part of the socket (Or end of the light bulb) I hope that helps!
@@jimonhomes1173 Thank you very much. 🙏
Glad to hear that the re-nourishment is complete. We were there in 2015 when they did a previous re-nourishment and it was quite the process to watch. We were there last November, but only drove by Lido Key since we were in the area. We'll be going back in about 2 weeks and will be staying right on the beach this time. I can't wait! We love the area! Thanks for all the great info.
Awesome! Enjoy your visit! The beach is HUGE now! I hope you have great weather! We are in WI and it is Snow and Cold! Wish I was heading that way!
Video starts 2:31
Hi Gary, That is weird. I tried it and it started from the beginning. Maybe give it another shot! Thanks for watching!
Sooo I want to see how this works with the ranger. And maybe now that you've got it figured out ... you can put one together for your friend.
Turns out it works GREAT!! And if you get one, happy to help!
OMG!!! Jim ...You saved me!!! Thank you so much!!! My wife bought 3 pendulum lights all of which were just silver wires with nothing to say what they were......I cannot tell you thank you enough for taking tons of stress off of me!!!
Thank you Brian! Who would have thought this video would be my most popular! I appreciate your view and feedback!
Great drone shots Jim! Really cool!
Thanks 👍
3rd wire is for a 3 way switch
Thank You!
I don't think so, 3 way or 4 way switches don't require anything different from the light bulb or fixtures. It may have something to do with a smart dimmer controlled by WiFi
Hi Ted, sorry for the late response. That is correct, the 3 or 4 way switching is in the switches, not the fixture. Also, the wire had no continuity to any other part of the fixture. Since it is a cheaper fixture, (I think it was $20.00) my true guess is that it was just an extra wire in the wiring the manufacturer had???
How do you test it on a chandelier? I have an old chandelier and don’t know which of the attached wires are hot or neutral. What part of the chandelier would I touch the continuity tester to?
Thanks for the comment! It would be the same way, using any of the light sockets in the chandelier. I hope that helps!
This is some real nice stuff i plan to be in lido on the 4th
I hope you enjoyed Lido! I just got back, and have a video coming up about the beach "Re-nourishment" project!
We are really coming along! Thanks for putting these together Jim!
You bet! More to come!
Which episode do you tell us how to grow an epic goatee?
Here is the Secret... Don't Shave!!
