the movie was an extremely poor adaptation of the anime. the anime is considered one of the best ever made the movie was garbage by comparison other than names of the characters and the base premise light getting the death note and killing ppl they are literally like night and day and are completely different. most fans try and forget the movie existed bc it did not do the show justice at all.

Beyond glad you’ve watched and reacted to this flick, such an awesome zombie film despite being a remake. Based on the 1979 zombie horror flick by George Romero (the creator of the zombies), Dawn of the Dead 2004 reimagined by Zack Snyder (later known for 300, Watchmen, Man of Steel, Batman V Superman, Justice League 2021: The Snyder Cut and the Netflix-produced Army of the Dead) in his first outing as a cinematic filmmaker was among the very first zombie film I’ve ever watched. This film really introduced me to the zombie fiction. CJ is the equivalent of Daryl Dixon (The Walking Dead) starting out as an asshole/loose cannon, then naturally progress into the most mature, heroic and selfless person. Was caught off-guard by the zombie baby moment, completely scary dark and never shown on any zombie film before. Ah yes, this is it. As an OG Veteran, I went ballistic at this part. At least this part wasn't corrupted! This is far and away the part of the game that is most heavily reliant upon the lore, but even if you had no idea what GoW was before this game, this is sequence is masterful. The rage at Modi evaporating into fear for Atreus, especially when he looks hecking dead on the boat. The stoic Kratos pacing impatiently on the elevator. The look on his face when he asks Freya for help. Her colorful boat against the doom-laden sky. Those 70 seconds of silence as he simply marinates in his anxiety and guilt have so much weight behind them. The way his arms shake before he straps on the Blades. You can hear Christopher Judge tear up when he delivers the "I know..." line. And the icing on the cake - the torrent of hype that explodes forth when you use the Blades for the first time. What did we do to deserve this game.

They were definitely a couple in the game. If you put together the letter, Bill's reaction to "finding" Frank, and the magazine in Bull's truck, the only way to not know they were gay is through active denial. But yes, this episode finally did them justice.
