World Championship finalist Luke Littler aimed to do the double over Rob Cross following their epic Semi-Final at Ally Pally.
Littler stormed to a six sets to two victory in a high quality contest which saw the teenager average 106 to Cross’ 102.7.
Littler, who went on to claim a first televised PDC title at the Bahrain Masters and produce an historic nine-darter along the way, was left to rue one missed dart at double 15 in last week’s Semi-Finals.
The 17-year-old thrashed his Ally Pally nemesis Humphries 6-2 with a 100.3 average, and was then denied by Smith in a deciding leg despite averaging 105.3.
Cross, meanwhile, went down 6-2 to Price in the Semi-Finals in Cardiff before bowing out in the Last 16 of The Masters courtesy of a 10-8 defeat to Damon Heta.
