I'm 12yrs 2mo sober and it was the best decision i made in my life. I was on the verge of losing everything in my life....my wife...my daughter....my home....my job.....everything and it was at that moment when i realized i needed to wake up and change who i was....and as i said it was the single best thing i have ever done in my life! i hope and pray more people can come to terms with their own addiction and realize you can overcome it!!!!!!

This woman is directly responsible for teen-me learning astrophysics and getting better math grades. Here I am, nearly 40, re-watching Stargate SG-1 and getting to know the human behind that character that means so much to me and finding such a wonderful woman.

So raw, vulnerable and inspiring! It makes me want to give him a nice hug ❤️ Also I realize I am very lucky that I never struggled with anxiety, depression nor addiction, I'm not a fan of alcohol. Sure I had my ups and downs like everyone and other issues, but not to the point of self destruction. It's important to talk about these issues and bring awareness, and I applause anyone who's been through darkness and came out stronger of it!

She's such a good actress that you never would sayed that she is a person, who has or had a problem with self-esteem. I loved her character Samantha Carter in Stargate SG-1 because this character was so smart.

I loved the support his girlfriend showed at the end, she knew how hard that was for him to talk about and immediately she swooped in and gave him a 'well done baby, I'm so proud of you' kiss. Respect to you Alex always ❤

It's so hard to believe that someone I grew up with and admired has so many of the same fears and frailties that plane old me has.

I never knew she felt this way.

Wow. I'm blown away by his wisdom and grace in dealing with his addiction, the self reflection and work that went into getting to where he is now is very admirable. This video has helped me understand the addicts and recovered addicts in family. What he said about it impacting loved ones and how we are all humans with our own issues had me in tears. Becoming famous & having so much success much of been such a high & then the fun of friends , then the hangers on , then alone & it’s then when it’s hello this isn’t fun .. the drunk drugs are in control... u r a beautiful inside & out !!!

Didn't anyone stand up for her while she was being treated like shit in front of everyone??? Didn't her husband and friends support her? Maybe she didn't tell anyone, but I'm pretty sure her husband would've noticed her puking every morning. Or maybe she got up earlier than him. That would've woken me up, though (I'm a light sleeper). On the other hand, I've gotten more ill treatment from female managers than male ones. Maybe they were trying to 'prove' themselves to upper, male dominated management, but being treated like shit hurts no matter who is shoveling it on you.
