Welcome to my channel about nature and wild life of Oulu in northern Finland. I try to respect some ethical rules. I don't feed or baint animals or use whistle. I try to observe and capture emotional pictures of wild animals in their natural environment without disturbing them or interracting with them. With thoses videos I try to show the beauty of our nature, combine to the emotion I can feel in the moment and also facts about wild life. That's the reason I try to observe animals without interraction, in order to be a witness of this fragile beauty and normal behaviour of animals. I usually add some music to get more emotion, but it's more a question of taste. Some like and some don't... :)

Here's a pretty long footage showing the life of roe deers in winter. When I try to check and clean my hard drives I always find unfinished or not even not started video project, here's one of them from the 1st of July 2022. Filmed in Oulu (FIN) 16th of June 2023 Elks (european moose Alces alces) are pretty difficult to see in Oulu area, because of hunting I guess. So it was a semi surprise to see one in those magnificient morning lights. There were also a roe deer female and her fawns in the field. Kiitos kommentista. Olen samaa mieltä, että luonnon äänet on aina parempia, mutta joskus niitä ei ole tai on vain liikenteen melua taustalla, tai nuhoittaminen on mennyt metsään... Musiikin valinta on varmaan makuasia, itsekin käytät musiikkia ymmärtääkseni? Tykkään varsinkin kun on sekä luonnon äänet , että taustamusaa. Koska haluan että videot pysyy aitoina, en lisää ääniä, joita ei kuulu kuvaushetkellä. Joskus äänirata on ollut niin huono, että olen poikkeuksellisesti lisännyt netistä poimittuja ääniä, mutta oli samat lajit äänessä, että pysyy jonkinlainen logikka.

We live at 9,000 feet in the Colorado mountains and we hear the boreal owls all spring in the meadow behind our house making their laughing call while we hot tub every night. After many years we finally saw one flying over head. We know it was a boreal because my wife imitated the call and he answered back. We named him Boris.

@@sylvaineckhardt Itselleni lähimmät majavat ovat kanadanmajavia (Evo / Hämeenlinna). Viime syksynä kävin niitä pari kertaa katsomassa, mutta pimeä tuli aikaisin ja se hankaloitti hommaa. Nyt kesällä pitää yrittää uudelleen.
