My Official Remix for Aviella's latest song 'Like It How It Is'.
✨ In November 2021, I had the exciting opportunity to participate in Aviella's remix contest for her track "Like It How It Is". Aviella, a super talented singer/songwriter based in LA, is Billboard's #1 artist. The contest was hosted on the platform "VIRPP" by Dim Mak Records, one of the top dance music labels, founded by the legendary Steve Aoki.
I dove into creating my remix and wrapped it up in just 5 days (which is the fastest I've ever done a song lol). After waiting for the results, I was thrilled to hear from Marisa, an A&R rep from Dim Mak Records. She told me that Aviella really liked my version and that they were interested in releasing it exclusively on SoundCloud through the label. And, Of course, I jumped at the opportunity!
I’m beyond grateful to Aviella, VIRPP, Marisa Flores, and the whole legal team at Dim Mak for making this happen. A special shout-out also goes to "Mixed In Key & Captain Plugins" - I’ve been using their plugins for the last couple of months, and they’ve been a huge help in bringing my creativity to life.
This entire journey has been a blast, and I’m so thankful to be a part of Aviella’s amazing music and to have collaborated with the awesome team at Dim Mak.
