We have been married for 45 years. My husband survived an accident texturing in a severe tbi 28 years ago. Everything changed on that day. It continues to change as we get older. Some days, I don't think I can answer that same question for the 4th time. Some days, he is incredibly angry and reactionary. Our children have had many problems from these changes, but we all keep trying to adapt to his needs. I know he is as frustrated with his limitations as that seems to be the trigger for his anger. Right now, I am at a loss...

6/19/22-11/2/22 was my hospital stay. Grade 3 diffuse axonal injury. Unconscious majority of the time. Myself I’ve recovered unlike most. Personality wise I don’t think I have changed although I do get frustrated easier at times and less accepting of people with mental issues

there are no viable "treatment options" nor any such thing as a "roadmap." these self annointed and appointed "experts" are the kiss of death.

these "helping professionals" are bad people doling out bad and incompetent advice. this trend needs to be stopped.

How about a hospital sedating someone, leaving them unattended and said person falls off the table head first with no incident report filed. I'm so frustrated, no one will tell us what we're up against. He had two brain bleeds, one under the skull one above, learning things all over, walking, feeding has declined from what he was able to do after. Came to the hospital for a gallbladder that needed(s) to be removed yet won't until he's back to base line. Trying to discharge him to rehab even though he's regressing.

Thinking is slower and therefore speech pattern is slower also. Sometimes I intentionally speak slower so that the silence between my thoughts isn’t so prominent. It’s like I anticipate that I’m going to lose my train of thought as soon as I start speaking, so I pace myself.

Did a neuro-psych exam at university hospital. Did very well on the test, which in my opinion is dishonest. The amount of things i forget, the confusion, getting lost going to routine places... none of that can be factored in at those tests

I was assaulted in 2019 on the job this tbi has flipped my world upside down. I am high compulsive easily explosive short term memory going attention span gone don’t like being around people even family at social gatherings over fear of being judged and ridiculed and made fun of. I am unable to return to work do to me injury. All I want to do is isolate I am also on guard when in public of being assaulted when I come in contact with anyone I deem a threat

We need help please. Our mother can't work b'se the door fell out and he her on head while she was bent picking something. They had just renovated their the facility and apparently everything is falling apart and all the supervisors were aware of everything falling apart but nothing was done until my mother got to be a victim of it. The saddest thing she had to pay out of her pocket for transportation as she couldn't drive and now the doctors have recommended that she has to have 24-hour care she doesn't have anybody to take care of her .we are all worried because people who are helping and a family members have to go back to work. As work's corp is refusing to pay "saying that b'se it wasn't from their Dr. Workman's comp told that way to be scheduled for the neurologistt and she ended up in the hospital without even knowing how she git there or what happened to her. She got a lawyer and we're not so sure what's going on with him because he doesn't really give her a lot of information and it's really causing a lot of frustration and depression please is there a way you can help?

I suffered 3 severe traumatic brain injuries at 16 no signs of life etc. I am now have refractory commorbidity one of my doctors statements. Very long story short i feel extremely lucky to be alive still , I can 100% tell everyone you are never the same person as before the brain damage and rehabilitation etc while effective and totally respected will never ever bring back alot of things which honestly torments me the most it twists and turns inside me like a boa constricter choking its prey. The only similarities is the snake gets a meal i and many many other people eventually after 14 pages of every medication not working and every treatmentt course and therapy becoming inconconclusive and no solution. I drew a big line in the sand which tells me that this is it i died at 16 and this body i occupy now has a stranger inside it. ( so much more $$$ and research to understtanding our extremely powerful and exceptional brains which shouldnt be overly medicated or be subjected to things like ECT. - WE ALL NEED HELP SICK HEALTHY OR JUST BEING BORN. )

Well I believe I have several causes of medical negligence for myself … I can see how these causes can be very difficult especially knowing that it takes another physician to state that the other doctor was negligent. I am not sure where in Texas you are but I hope to speak with you soon.

Sir, can such symptoms be there wid a tbi but nothn gets picked in mri. I hv hit my head in several places not an accident though. I hv left sided weakness, pots, probable autonomic dysfunction. Severe pain in bones, imbalance, severe eye issues, especially not getting adjusted to surroundings, rhomberg is alwaz positive, L4, L5-S1S2 dusc protrusion wid moderate nerve compression.Lyf is in a box. Hv hypertension frm one year. Can't take beta blockers as it worsens chest congestion. Got angina. Hav been advised fr an angio after taking beta blockers. Dnt hv a clue whtz happening. Smtyms don't understand whtz going on lyk a brain fog. Getting TIA lyk episodes in sleep frm smtyms after metoprolol was, stopped fr ambulatory bp.cant travel, can't go out. It's lyk m alwaz shaking. Left job coz not able to focus my eyes.

Took me 9 months to start to drive to drive uptown to the store. After 6 yrs. I still hate to do it and only when I apsilutly need to.

I had a TBI back in March. I’m left with sequencing and attention memory problems and loss of smell. I’m now noticing that I’m hypersensitive to certain noises and certain peoples voices if too loud.

It’s permanent Hell! I have a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury and I can 100% attest! It’s literally mind blowing, I forget everyday and important things like finances and everything! Got anxiety and depression and retrograde amnesia and Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s all at once? I’m someone different everyday and have no idea what I did a lot, it’s Hell
