Hey Craig, thanks for sharing this and raising the awareness with it all. Just before Christmas I had exactly the same issue only coming up to a round about. Really scary- managed to drive it home but a few days later the whole car had died on me. I had break down tow me to the local garage when they reopened 7 days later. Only for them to tell me I needed to book it in with Jaguar which I did. I explained the whole story to them and finally got an appointment 30 days later on the 4th Feb. So being without a car until then. I called them yesterday to just confirm where to go on the day as the car will be towed etc. To my horror they told me that they won’t be able to do it as it’s probably out of warranty (4.5years old with 63k on the clock) I went over to speak to someone who then backed down and said that they will see it “charge me £225 for the diagnostic and take it from there… I am now fearing that I will get it towed there (£200) only for them to charge me £225 and tell me I need to get it towed away without a fix done as it’s out of warranty… I have only had it a year and still owe 17k on it (not financed via jag) or any real come back from the dealer I bought it from. I’m up the swanny without a paddle 😩 As with you I loved my ipace and now even if they do repair it Jaguar can now go jump for any future business from me or anyone I come into contact with. What was the outcome in the end? Did you just leave it there and run the finance down or did they come good in the end? Sorry for the long comment but any help would be really grateful especially since I voted for you to win all those many years ago lol

Can I use an acrylic spray sealant before I paint, to seal it instead of what you used?

I’m not a fan. Imo looks terrible. You could just skim coat it and it would look like a regular drywall wall. Probably cost about the same.
