How’s your machine doing now that it’s been 3 months? Ours gets delivered tomorrow.
It's been great. The app, notifications, control... all great. Google Home says when the machine is done. I am going to set up a second one. One piece of advice, loosen the feet while the unit is on its side when removing the bottom packaging. The feet adjustment was my biggest installation pain point.
Do you need a hub for this? When I find my Schlage z-wave plus on smart things app it says I need a hub. Thanks!
All Z-wave endpoints such as locks, light switches, bulbs and such, will require a hub.
@@macro1950 it looks like a Samsung tv is considered a hub? Thanks.
How does management of the AMP work after initial install? Can I control what users have access to it? What if someone steps onto the network with the app, can they hijack the amp or is it locked to authorized users after install?
I would get a small BAGGED vacuum cleaner... something like a Mighty Mite vacuum....keep it in the laundry room beside the washer and use it just to keep the laundry room clean...use it to suck the lint off the lint screen... and possibly get an attachment to that connects to it to get hard to reach areas like inside the lint screen housing... vacuuming lint off the screen is so much better than cleaning it by hand because you don't have airborne lint going all over the place if you clean it by hand. I've seen videos of this model and ppl like it but they hate how lint builds up in the lint screen housing... I think a vacuum and attachment would help a lot
Does it provide the option of mono summing the output via software? Even the Wiim devices support it. Given UBNT is pushing this as a professional device and expect it to be deployed in large scale they have to support mono summing for use with traditional 70/100v systems via a conversion transformer.
Yes. You can change the output from stereo to mono in the app.
Fabric softener holder is underneath the detergent dispenser. It beeps after wash is done in case uou need to remove something or sdd a softem sheet
What is an Audiophile? I have always wondered that. Every single person who claims to be an audiophile likes entirely different things. I can see multiple uses for these devices. Everything from announcement systems, to background music systems. Even if the quality is not "audiophile" for all, it would definitely be a good system to have integrated into a rack. Just as a note. I realise you wanted to make a bit of a statement, but the background is way too busy and flickery. It could need a warning for people who are sensitive to flashing lights and rapidly moving images. It really does detract from the video and content a lot.
An audiophile is a person who has a love for or is enthusiastic about, High-fidelity sound in music. We aim to reproduce music as closely as we can to the way it sounds when recorded. Typically, we are over-analytic and tend to take things well beyond the nth degree. Audiophiles look at special speaker cables, power cables, power conditioners, class A or vacuum tube amps, large speakers, and acoustic treatments in the room. UniFi has a Class D amp here. I appreciate your feedback about the background. I understand your point; it was a bit overwhelming. Unfortunately, I couldn't remove it post-production as I had already recorded the video with the effect and did the unboxing. I hope to have my audiophile analytic video posted this week.
@@ThatOneITGuru I look forward to seeing it. Audiophile is often associated with the slightly crazy end of audio/hifi, where people spend ridiculous money on cables and equipment rather than just enjoying the music :). I say that smiling and in good humour. It's all fascinating really. When it comes down to it, only the original artist knows their plans for the music when it was recorded. Anyway, all that aside, I look forward to your next video :)
100% on the background im slightly triggered by these things and basically stopped watching when it didn't go away
I also hated the background, but the video content is good
You can add multiple detergents but not multiple fabric softeners (due to adding powder like Oxy Clean, you can adjust the tray to use powdered detergent), and the Smart Fabric Softener dispenser is below the top tray! Also, you don’t want to overheat and over-dry clothes! I have very little issues with this machine!
Have fun. This machine will start having problems 1 year in. Also lint will build up all over the place. Machines RH sensor will go out. You’ll get a 353 error. You will have to baby sit this machine. I wish I never bought it.
Thank you for your valued feedback with your experience with this product. Please keep in mind that while you state "you will," every user has a different experience due to many veriables. Bad experiences can happen with just about any product that has a good track record. Good luck in your future purchasing decisions. I will be sure to post update videos, including if we start having any issues so as to provide the community with the best and most honest feedback I can. Thanks again.
The lint issue can easily be resolved with a duster! I side of the drum, you might want to wipe the seal with a soapy rag preferably microfiber, and that’s if you don’t use the pet hair remover option within the settings (maybe partially the reason why you might have lint problems is because that feature is turned off while washing and drying clothes filled with pet hair, human hair and lint)! Mine is working great, but I clean my machine based on experiences with other machines… always good to clean them! They work better!
Be sure to add extra insulation to that lint filter. You can check out a guy on here who sells the extra products to insulate it or you can purchase your own. If you don't, the blue coils on the machine will get clogged with lint and be hard to get off which will affect the machine's performance.
Thanks for the heads up. I will look into creating a high temp gasket or something every 50 loads.
