I understand I have a similar upload style as many others, but the intentions of this aren’t to make profit off of it, nor fame is in my wishlist. I do this just for me to hear, and if someone wants to listen along what i upload, welcome.

Thank you for uploading this!
Still as beautiful as ever. Perhaps this is Osborne's equivalence to Deep Night. Ominous enough for it.
Really is so nice to here Osborne's first record in full clarity outside of a Pax41 compilation. Your copy seemes to be even better than mine. Even here during the Valle-Osborne phase, at what should be the clearest example of the imitations, Osborne's voice is still fairly unmistakable from Vallee's here.
I read "Allen and his Small Orchestra" and was sold. that's not what it said, but I'm not disappointed with the results.
Uhhh, lol? Glad you enjoyed it! Heavily recommend hearing the flipside, “isn’t this a night for love” !
Yes, this is Sam Lanin's orchestra, under an alias. Recorded on July 29, 1927. Also released on Cameo 1207 and Romeo 435.
🔥🔥🔥
Hey there, hope you’re feeling well, let us know when you’re back man!
@ I’m feeling a lot better actually! However I still have a few things to take care of. See you all in a couple weeks!
Simply BEAUTIFUL! OH! I LOVE THIS!!
I LOVE this BEAUTIFUL version of this truly lovely song! Nice crisp and clean upload!
OH! THIS IS TRULY LOVELY! I believe we are enjoying the wonderful Scrappy Lambert on the vocal, Recorded from what I gather on July 29th 1927! Very smooth transfur!
Hey roybo! Thank you very much for the info! Didn’t get much time to dig deep into checking info about this lincoln i got! Thank you! And I hope to catch you in the next upload!
Always been my preference of the two sides. So much more pep, plus since Paul Denniker is the pianist here, It's great to hear his interpretation of his then-new song. Rudy Vallee would cover it at the same time, but it missed some essential quality that Osborne and his band gives it. Vallee likely didn't mind, copies of S'Posin, a Denniker and Andy Razaf comp that Osborne introduced, was still selling well for Vallee, and is still now a jazz standard to this day.
I hope to get more of your comments on my next uploads! Thank you for giving this information I never knew of! I wonder where you get them from. Cheers!
@InternetTransfers been writing the book on Will Osborne for the last 4 years now. I've studied the guy's life, music, and band probably in more ways than anyone else has.
July 8,1937. I wish all 78's had recording dates on label.
@@tedlawrence4189 thanks ted, for some reason the description didn’t capture what I put, my apologies for the mistake. Cheers!
Where are the german songs?
I don’t have any, I do have a french 78
Currently one of the most popular songs Osborne has recorded, these days. Every few weeks somebody will feature this song and some new project that they've done or some other content on youtube. Often, I suspect because they are under the false impression that this is somehow public domain, but nevertheless they have good taste.
It’s my second favorite will osborne record, expect another will osborne record i’ll be uploading you might expect which one it is!
@InternetTransfers my guess is the 1929 Columbia of Same Old Moon / Perhaps? If so then you're going to be saving me the work to having to do it myself with my copy, either that or necessitating that I do a transfer myself depending on how the audio sounds.
@@CPorter we both should do a transfer and compare our transfers to check if they are a different take from each other or not. Since theres like 12 takes that some are yet to be heard
@InternetTransfers yeah there are 12 takes, but to my knowledge only two or three of them were ever actually released, either way, thats a good idea.
A 1933 favorite of mine. Will is back in the swing of things with the first session his real orchestra had in 2 years!
I love how Will would add a few unison parts, felt like he was already advanced to the swing era!
@InternetTransfers unison meaning what?
@@CPorter 0:44 is an example
@InternetTransfers instrumentally? Yeah I can get what you mean. It's hard to tell if Osborne was really looking for anything like swing to identify his sound as this early on. Most of the time describe him and his music more than anything to just be "elegant" and "sophisticated", which this is both as well as beautiful. Though he absolutely could swing it when he wanted to at this point. Like with Like Me A Little Bit Less, Love Me A Little Bit More from the same session, was I highly recommend you listen to.
Very upbeat❤
Very nice transfer (it’s me Ryan)
@@newambassador376 Thank you Ryan (it’s me Logan)
Curiously, in both of these sides, you hear Alphonso Del Aquilla's bass arco more than George O'Dell's guitar plectrum.
