Want to read this so bad I actually met the composer who is a super nice man he was my director for a summer camp in New Hampshire where he works on a campus called UNH university of New Hampshire he is so down to earth
Bass clarinets unite ✌🏻
I just had a band concert tonight before we go to a conference judging and I play bass clarinet. This makes me want to ball my eyes out! My 3rd dog passed 2 months ago and ik him the most and I was hurt when he died. But he loved the outdoors especially at night. Now that i have a new doggo, I sit outside with it at night and talk to the night bc I think my dog can hear me 😢😢
Beautiful !!! Sad story behind this composition.
I sight read this for a festival and boyyyy was it terrifying when you're literally the only one playing
where is the rock aspect?
Played this in my high school band in 1997. The most beautiful brass, sad but resilient! Will never forget how wonderful it was to play it.
We are playing this song in school and I play the French Horn. I listened to this and realizes how much louder I needed to play.
Just play it with a lot of energy and even more passion. Just follow the story.
Earlier this year my middle school went to California for the Festival of Gold and I was picked to be in the honor band they had during that time period and Mr.Boonshaft led the Honor Band. I was 2nd trumpet and he was a marvelous teacher and conductor
Trombones and basses :D I love it.
Would make a great type music composition for the soundtrack of a light spirit, comedy movie.
Cameron the horns are awesome. The music is written to depict grief.
i played this in 2001 with the Connecticut All-State band. Peter Boonshaft was our conductor and the first time the group played this piece, I knew it wasn't going to be an easy piece to learn and understand but we did nevertheless.
can't wait to play this for the spring concert. First chair trombone, and senior year:) good way to end my high school concerts
@oriana papa it could be that the choir said "pls dont clap after every song, cause the concert will took too much time" ;)

Beautiful performance. Your dynamic control, particularly through crescendos on long phrases was spectacular.
Beautiful done! Great :D Greetings from Holland
Lets give them a big hand!
Let's give them some big hands: Applause!!!
nice voices, don't like the tempo, seems a little bit slower than it should.
IMHO it is just a little bit slow & needed a few more voices in order that the choir had the power to stay dominant over the the voices of the instrumentation, but this said it was a first class performance.
Well sung and nice physiotherapy exercises aswell...!
Diary of Anne Frank tends to have the same impact on audiences at the end of the final scene---applause, even though the audience appreciates the performance, seems out of place. Just a thought, with the utmost respect for Maestro J and all who perform his music.....
Super music!!!!
Hvala
Big like iz šentjernejeja!
awesome :D
Possibly: 1) A recording the public was invited to and asked not to applaud. 2) This was not the last movement in an overall work. 3) or ask not to applaud so silence was the counterpoint to the performance, intensifying the experience in the memory.

zelo lepo
Kuemper Catholic High School choir is doing this pease (sp) for a concert. The recording of this is amazing, but I must say that the song were is part of delta airlines, so it may be pretty, or pretty bad.
Very amazing
are they the original singers of this song ? :) nice.nice...esp. the soloist, she has a good voice... :)
KLAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful, stunning....brought tears to my eyes.
Woah this was really good u kno. i didnt expect it xD
@FORTEplayspiano Hello! It has happened before. When The Death of a salesman by Arthur Miller debuted, the audience was so stunned, nobody clapped. They just sat there silently.
Is supposed that you mus not clap until the end of the concert!!!
this is such an absolutley AAAHHHHHHHHMMMAAAZZZIIINNNGNGGGGGGGG song and everyone involved did a perfect job!!!!!! i still have damn chills all over!!!!!!!! thumbs up from me....... W O W :o)
The acoustics of the room do not do justice to those heavenly voices :-)
THis was really good ^^ I LOVED IT
how rude.. they didnt even clap at the end
this sucks
you may have certain opinions, i know, and each person is entitled to his own opinions. but could you be more tactful and keep your opinions to yourself?
very nice voices.. i have put this video on my blog.. like it!
What an absolutely stunning performance, you almost moved me to tears, guys. Absolutely phenomenal - and one of the hardest pieces to master. You are truly legends.
That was truely amazing congratsulations! I just wish that you had included more actions the ones you did were good but it just got really boring seeing you do the same things over and over, but like I said on the music it was fabulos
lovvvvvvve it omg !!!!!!
Wow. This is simply the best version of this song I've seen on the internet as far as being truest to the original recording. It's even BETTER than the live version of Karl Jenkins doing it (without Miriam).
that was awesome!! i am so excited to be performing this portion with my high school chorus. we sound NOTHING compared to this though.
