I just wanted to take some time to say thank you for making these videos and thank you for making this playlist. I really hope one day I can get to the point where I can watch your Let's Plays and fully understand everything. Right now, I tend to pause them every couple of minutes to try to review what you had just said to see if I could possibly understand it. I did have a couple of questions when it comes to using words that don’t have an equivalency in Na'vi but are still proper names for things. For example, pizza. When creating the sentence "I eat pizza," does pizza still require the case ending to denote that it's the direct object? Or is using the case endings something that is exclusively for Na'vi words? For instance, if there’s a human word that doesn’t have a Na'vi equivalent but is still the thing you’re talking about, is it appropriate to use the case endings with the human word? Like, if I wanted to say "I eat pizza," would I need to add -ti to pizza, making it pizzati, to denote that it's the direct object, even though it’s not a Na'vi word? If that’s a stupid question, please feel free to rip on me. So I think it would be Oel yom pizza or Oel yom pizzati. Or maybe I’m completely off, and it’s neither. Or maybe there is a Na'vi word for pizza, but I’m not aware of it. Please forgive me. I’m only three days into this. The other thing I wanted to mention, and this is more an observation and a caution to anyone else just starting out: don’t use chatbots, even if they claim they’re specialized in Na'vi language teaching. Seriously, I’ve caught GPT's Na'vi Guide to Pandora and several other supposedly specialized Avatar chatbots making things up. It tried to tell me the word for hate was the word for hold... But anyway, I know this is a long-winded comment and has been going on for some time, so I just wanted to close off by saying this is awesome work. I’m really looking forward to going through this more, and I’m excited to see where I am by the time the third movie comes out. I recognize that conversational fluency is going to take a long time, but you know what? It’s a nice challenge, and it’s a fun hobby. So, irayo!
