As one of the 4 that went, I agree that it was a beautiful day. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous, the mass was extra special, a picture with Bishop Barton’s was a bonus, but being with my JP2 faith-filled friends was a true blessing 🙏❤🙏

I’m so glad I said yes to your invite to retreat! Age 60, first retreat - amazing! The fear was real, but the excitement was greater. Remember me saying “I’m not going to cry or show emotion”? Within the first sentence or two and the tears began to fall 😭 It was such an emotional weekend. So many firsts! Confession in person, ( after so many years of communal penance), wine, openly sharing faith… Can’t wait for the next one!

Meredith, I feel this each week after mass! You know I love all the hugs, but I truly feel that giving and receiving these hugs has been and continues to be part of my healing process. So thank you for talking about the importance of healing, it is definitely an ongoing process. And I know God's timing is perfect - he put me in this amazing JP2 book club for a reason! Healing and growing in faith - so thank you. You and Jessica are doing such a great job with this podcast! 🙏

Dad and I just got back from attending a service for Divine Mercy Celebration, it was wonderful! When we got home we sat down to Pizza And listened to your blogs, FantasticZ, you two nailed it! I was able to kneel in front of the Eucharist and pour out my soul, it was amazingly, thanks for doing this! Mom and Dad.

I loved this topic and the childhood story you shared. I grew up the same way; staunch Catholic, large family (8 siblings) and a long driveway! Many times we had to run down that driveway to catch-up with something we didn’t want to or couldn’t miss. It occurred to me that if I thought of each Mass as my ONLY or LAST Mass….I would be sprinting down that long driveway every time! And….I would be leaving all of my “stuff” in the parking lot in order to be fully present with GOD! This episode was SUCH a thought provoker for me, a wake up call and reminder not to take my last Mass for granted. 🙏
