I’ve used this to air up tires on my one ton pick up to 60 psi as well. For $20 this is not a bad deal. So far I’ve used it almost a dozen times with no issues as of 11/7/22. Not a bad little option to keep in your trunk for a just in case day!!

This is not a video for a specific vehicle. However, all QSB 6.7 return tubes will be removed in a similar fashion with the 2 bolts holding the return tube to the turbo. And the other end of the return tube pushing into the block. The tube can be pushed by hand into the block, and has 2 o-rings on the base that seal it. Do not forget to remove your old gasket and install a new one! :)

This is the wrong method. The hole I was checking is a pressure port, which is why it’s not checked while running in this location. I haven’t worked on another car with this engine yet to be able to post the correct location. Thanks for commenting!

How much fluid does it hold?

How do you stop the bleeder valve?
It should tighten and stop. If it does not stop then you broke the base out of the bottom of the bleeder valve. If you broke the base out of the bottom of the bleeder valve then you will have to get a plug style fitting with a cap to repair the issue.
Wrong wrong wrong. That plug is only for certified transmission service people. The inspection overflow is directly below where you drain the engine oil.
Title says it’s wrong.

I know this video was a while ago, so I dont think I'll get a response quickly, but I have been having starting issues with my 2005 Dodge 3500 Ram (diesel) On warm days it starts fine, Cold days I had to plug in the oil pan heater to get it to start. I replaced my two Solenoids which go to the air intake heater, thinking that might be the issue. Today, with oil pan heater plugged in overnight, I couldn't get the Truck to start. So... I was getting ready to purchase the Air Intake heater thinking maybe it had failed. (It may be my issue) Some say >they really never go bad." Then I came across your video about a "fuel heater Element". I'm NOT a mechanic, but I can wrench just about anything. The fact that it starts on warm days, and not on cold ones, makes me think it's the intake heater element, BUT, could it be the fuel heater element instead? IDK.... any thoughts before I purchase the air intake heater?
It’s a possibility. I haven’t had to test it. But if I were to check it, I would just check the resistance across it. If it’s open. It’s definitely bad. If you have a measurement of resistance, we would have to compare it to a recommended value to know if it’s good or bad.
The bright side is, I still own this truck. So I can make time to check resistance values and what not in the future so you can compare if we need to.
I'm following this as well. I had a p code show up for grid heater and having rough cold starts wanna get this figured out. Do you know the relay part number for the ones you changed out I can only seem to find 03 to 05 relays
Same issue here. Any update?
Just seeing this among a million others chasing down a problem with my alternator not charging. Only getting 8 volts to it but every once in a while charges for 15 min or so. All kind of codes for batt temp sense, low volts, open gen field (2ndry’) & more. Checked it all! Last of course!, pull heater- burnt wire. Hope this helps, thanks for video It helped me. Trying not to tear something up- these days $219 part only at stealership
The Tracklife is pretty good. Use it only for cars, and small tires. If your pumping up RV tires where it take 70 or 80 lbs of air, this is not made for high pressure tires like that. It will get hot, and may melt parts of the inside. Gets pretty warm pumping up car tires. It does a good job. I have one , and another thing I like about it, you can set the amount of air you want in a car tire and when it gets to that point, it shuts down. Has a night light so that you can see what you are doing, in case you need to pull off the road and put air in you tire at night time. Got mind for $26 tax and all.
Thanks have a 02 w9 and this help so much. Only problem had was there's not enough wire to pull it out..lol or then that straight to the point.thx. just remember to unscrew the male wire harness with plastic nuts and retaining washer because it's not enough to pull whole fuse panel out

Just had my truck serviced at speedco in West Memphis. After it takes 3.5 hours to be completed, I leave to the petro parking lot for what's left of my day. I leave after my 10 hours is up, go to get on I40 east, and the truck dies, blocking the ramp. I managed to get it going again and clear the ramp. The truck dies again with a 157 code on the dash. They put the wrong water separator filter on the truck. How stupid can these people be. Changed the filter, and now it runs, but I have 0 confidence in the rest of the work that was done. I WILL NEVER GO TO SPEEDCO AGAIN!!!
Sorry to hear that, that happened to you Joseph. Unfortunately, customer service and service quality have gone down over the years. Finding guys who take pride in their work and keep you involved in the process is a very hard thing to find now…
@@bryantr90 I'm still waiting for c/s to reply to my complaint!
@@josephadams7106 I kind of feel like they should compensate you for your trouble with all of that. People spend a lot of money on services. To get the wrong filter is ridiculous. That shouldn’t have happened.
I am really glad I found you! My compressor failed, purchased another one not knowing there was a bypass pulley available. Purchased it, had it installed and the new belt came off 25 km away. The mechanic says I gave him the wrong part, the pulley not being perfectly aligned with the other ones. I paid $312 for a job that didn't work. Now they want me to come back with my new cormpressor (that I would love to return) since they don't think the proper belt exists. I will definitely try to find an 81" belt and try isntall it myself. Thanks a lot for the tip, you made my day!
Happy to hear the positive feedback! I’m sorry about your luck so far. I hope it gets better 🍻
@@bryantr90 I purchased a belt but it was too wide. Now I am looking for another one and I am not too sure if 81,5 inch would be the right lenght for a 2012 model 2,4 L. So far, everything I bought, the bypass pulley, the compressor and the belt don't fit on my car and will all have to be returned. Nice puzzle! So, do you know, or is there a way to find out the eact lenght I need to get back on the road?
@@arcticflying honestly, I went and purchased an assortment of sizes based off what I thought was correct. I started with the belt that they said fit the AC delete setup and worked my way up to what I thought was a good fit. It wasn’t the easiest way. But it worked. A friend of mine suggested to go over all the pulleys with a piece of string like you would route the new belt. Pull it off. Measure the inner diameter and add 1/2 inch to one inch to it. And that should be the size.
@@bryantr90 Thanks, I thought of doing that too, will get to the garage where is is and do it!

Do i have the car running
I had mine running when I did this.
Great video. Big help thanks!!
For those wondering, you can do this without taking the wheel well or air cleaner tube off. You can use something to pull wheel well out and hold it. It may not be for all but it worked for me. Great video!
Hello, amazing video. Thank you. It gives me the confidence to do the replacement, though I don't have an airhammer. Does this replacment solve a clunking issue? I have a terrible clunking sound coming from the front end
Mine was squeaking very loudly. I assume that if it got bad enough, it could clunk. You have to take so much apart to get to this point. So keep your eye open for other components with signs of failure. When I did this, I literally replaced everything. Upper and lower control arms with ball joints, wheel bearings and these bushings. Took it and had it aligned. Haven’t touched the front of this truck in years. I still own it.
@B G I'd hate to replace everything except this bushing only to still have the clunking. So going to do it in one fell swoop, like you did. I just got the truck this way, so I couldn't say if it started off as a squeaking sound. Do you think a ball joint press and heat could work the bushing off? I don't have an airhammer. Thanks again
@@isaiahmckeown-philip1238 I rented a ball joint press from oriellys and couldn’t get it to work for removal. It was to small. I don’t remember exactly how it fit. But to small for removal was the issue. For installation I drove the bushing partially in with a big brass hammer. Once it was drove in enough with the hammer, finished pressing it in with the ball joint press once it could fit over the frame and bushing.
@@isaiahmckeown-philip1238 Also pay attention to how far the bushing sits in the frame. You’ll need it in the right spot so the lower control arms slip back on. I also used an impact on the ball joint press to get the bushings drove in the rest of the way.

UPDATE! Lucas has been in the power steering for over 2 years now. And I’ve done nothing else to the power steering in the car since. 220,000 miles strong 💪
Which part is the compressor?
She is actually still driving the car without air conditioning. The compressor was over $400. And then you’ll need a receiver drier as well to do it correctly. Add refrigerant and labor. And this turns well into above $1000 job. It’s almost just $1000 for parts getting everything from oriellys!
Long story short. She can’t afford the repairs yet.
God bless you Brian

I was driving, car started making weird sounds, then the wheel was hard to turn, my friend put steering fluid in 2 different spots under the hood and didn't say cut the car on and off😡
I was just worried about running the pump without fluid. Because no fluid causes damage internally to the pump. So by starting it with fluid, then shutting it off will cause the fluid to suck into the lines and fill the air gaps. Then the power steering reservoir will be empty. So you can fill it back up and run it again to the point where it holds fluid in the reservoir. If you were just a little low on fluid than doing it the way your friend did it was probably just fine.
😁👍
