I got a long hair GSD and surprisingly he sheds much less than short hair. Short hair dogs shed like crazy.

Your gonna have a mess in your house no matter what you do. I brush my male GSD everyday plus I’ll use the furminator on him during shedding season. Even with all that, we still have hair all over the place. If you get a GSD just get ready to have dog hair everywhere! Lol…

The open toy box is an issue here for sure. It's hard to find work/reward systems for our dog because the owner (not me) let's him play with his toys whenever he wants. It's frustrating sometimes because he has great nerves and instincts but he is never ever trained by his actual owner and gets the most structure from me.. but his command following isn't 100% because of that.

How do you begin this type of training with a completely green dog. He's a 1 yr. old White German Shepherd. Lived most his life in a kennel before he came to us. Everything is new to him.

We are planning to own a GSD soon as our 6 years old son and 5 years old daughter is asking for a pet and they are particularly asking for GSD, I'm a first time owner but my wife she had owned 5 Grate Danes in her parents family before she got married to me.. So any suggestions are welcome... I've no idea about dogs or how to train them, so I'm doing my research here but my wife looks confident in owning one GSD. She Infact proposed to own a grate Dane but I was anyways scared to see such a huge dog in front of me when ever I visited her at her parents home.. So kindly suggest if should we or not get a GSD as a pet... And should it be a male or female?.. Thanks
