The protagonist having no powers is a thing you see very often, waaaay too often imo, but black clover has a great MC development, it takes things from other Mangas but puts it's own twist to keep it different enough. Another hot take: the style of the character design are compared to the characters in bleach.

This is the second time I’ve been burned by a harem manga/anime, granted I only watch the anime for Quintuplets. The first time was Nisekoi, and I’ve been trying to figure out which ending was worse to me. Team Miku and Team Onodera In my mind, the show really seemed to be heading in Miku’s direction. She got a lot of screen time and a lot of development. She was the second quint to accept Fuutarou, she defended him numerous times, tried harder studying and to get better scores on her tests, and she also tries harder to learn to cook. Despite Ichika and Nino fighting at the end of Season 2, and Ichika’s attempted sabotage by disguising as Miku (again), the sisters really did all band together to help Miku confess the first time. I thought the win was going to her for that alone. Miku was really the only one to play fair. Despite the ending, and losing to Yotsuba, Miku truly learned to love herself for who she was. I think that speaks to how well written she was. Oh well, time to find something else I guess

This is the greatest anime of all time and I can’t wait for it to get back it’s the best story telling and pacing ever for real the way it picks up and builds up legit made ASTA my all time favorite and I’ve watched anything you can name he is just executed perfectly

The scene in the 3rd act of the movie, where he was choosing, watching miku telling her other sister...it's over. Just brutal

nino fan here. i will never forgive the mangaka for shafting our girl for the bystander that barely had any involvement I the plot.

I may or may not be 3 years late to this but I 100% agree with you she had almost zero screen time compared to her other sisters I wish it could have been anyone else

6/10 When i watched Black Clover in 2022 i felt like i'm rewatching NARUTO again There are so much similarities between this two i noticed and that's why i didn't like that much Black Clover feels like a anime that doesn't have any identity of what kind show it wanted to be +There are tons of characters designs that looks similar to bleach characters in terms of designs and also there is some lore that was stolen from fairy tale and bleach

I understand that fans love Nino, but it was obvious that she wouldn’t win the moment she saw the picture in season 1. Unlike every other quint (excluding Ichika ), she is the kind of person who would just tell him that it was her. The fact that she couldn’t recognize him (not a surprise as that is an insane change) should have proved that she wouldn’t win. Come season 2, the only options that seemed even somewhat logical to me were Miku and Yotsuba (didn’t necessarily want her to win, but wasn’t completely surprised), but I did think Miku would win during the season2 finale.

To he honest this IS a fair take. The anime was a lot more slowly paced than the movie. I also definitely think we could’ve just gotten a season 3 instead.

Black clover is just a painfully average series. Probably 6/10. just really decent. A couple really good fight choreographies/animation episodes, but most of the fights are terrible. Decent but not memorable music. Decent but very very generic plot. Decent villains that aren't too memorable but are pretty cool. Decent cast of characters with decent backstories but nothing close to the level of tearjerking story writing seen in one piece or even naruto backstories. Literally just a decent anime. I will say it excels in its ability to maintain and give screentime to the cast of character that it does have, which is an improvement on that aspect of naruto for example.
