A train conductor is brutally slain and murdered from behind, and Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku receives an order to proceed to the Mugen train to find and destroy whatever demon is responsible for the conductor’s murder and the disappearance of around 40 of the passengers. He informs the Demon Slayer Corps of the Mugen train’s impending return to service, and that he doesn’t think he has yet taken out the culprit demon responsible for disappearing the 40 passengers.
The next day Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu board the Mugen train to report to Kyojuro for more information on the mission they have been assigned to.
