Yeah, he was gettin used to the altitude and crossing the Great Western Divide is hard even when you're used to the altitude. I think the 2 - 3 day trip you're talkin about is probably coming in through Whitney Portal. A MUCH shorter trip. This one was the 72 mile (each way) trip along the High Sierra Trail. If you're plannin to do the High Sierra in 2 - 3 days, let me know. That might be a fun run ;).
