BCRC Webinar -Thermal and Early Age Crack Modelling of Large Concrete Elements-Dr. Inam Khan
Cement hydration generates heat. In mass concrete elements increased amount of cement contents result in higher peak temperatures as well as higher temperature differentials between the concrete surface and the interior. The higher peak temperatures could result in delayed ettringite formation. Similarly, high-temperature differentials pose a great risk of temperature-induced stresses and cracking. To avoid these problems, thermal modelling and planning is important to accurately predict the core temperature and temperature differentials over time.

BCRC Webinar-Premature Deterioration of Basement Structures-Prof. Marton Marosszeky
Переглядів 1423 роки тому
In this talk we look at durability risks that arise in the performance of underground reinforced concrete basement car parking structures from the combination of moisture ingress and poor crack control. Based on several case studies, Marton will outline the design challenges that have to be solved if basement structures are to achieve their design service life without significant remediation.
BCRC - Construction Materials and Durability Consultants
Переглядів 3,7 тис.5 років тому
BCRC are specialist consultants in materials for construction, Often referred to as durability consultants because many areas of our work involves either specifying materials for new projects that will be durable or assessing existing structures to determine why materials used were not durable and how to rectify the issue using materials that will be durable. Our Consultants cover a wide range ...
