Sticker Shock Promo - now premiering April 30 on Discovery!
I wonder how many people caught AIDS in that apartment. Makes you think.
Is it a television segment? Or it is an independent job?
It was for a weekly Sunday morning magazine show for a Washington DC channel where I worked, back in the mid-80’s.
WOW THATS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TODAY AFTER THESE ELECTION RESULTS 💩🇺🇸
thanks for watching. glad it helped!
It's actually not that bad . Looked like a wide screen original series feel . 🖖
Good lord, even back then they were fellating themselves over how "inclusive" they were
Bill had a lot of things working against him on this production, including a very small budget (comparatively) because of Paramount's woes at the time and other things. This movie gets poo-pooed on a lot and I have done my share, but upon repeated viewings it has grown on me. Even to the people who don't like it they generally admit that the character interaction between Kirk, Spock and Bones is among the best. The story is a bit silly, but aren't 90% of the original series episodes too? Give it another watch.
I'm one of those that actually like it too and really touched by the friendship scenes, and core theme of inner pain. But it was Shatner's ego that just made it a sloppy production (you could tell he's lazy and doesn't care for little details). His over cynicism, especially Scotty hitting his head on the overhead bulk was just ridiculous.
@@at1212b I actually thought the Scotty thing was funny, to tell you the truth. But anyways, this movie grows on you after a while. Funny that David Warner was in this AND in the next one too, as a different character (Chancellor Gorkon).
With the placeholders for the commercials etc I'm guessing this was recorded directly from the satellite dish feed? My dad had one of those big dishes back in the day and I was fortunate to be able to catch the premiere of the pilot episode of Star Trek The Next Generation the day before it was supposed to be on TV. They would transmit it to local TV stations across the country where commercials would be inserted in the appropriate spots (the blue screens). I kind of miss those old transmissions because you could see lots of things you're not supposed to, like live feeds of reporters somewhere in the world waiting for their turn and lots of times they'd be picking their noses or saying some awful things they're not supposed to be saying, before the news went to them. A bit of a sidebar here: One thing that was really nice about those days is that you could pick and choose EXACTLY what stations and channels you wanted. One basic station (like USA Network, for example) might be as little as $1.50 a month, while premium ones would be more. But you never had stations you didn't want or need, UNLIKE today's cable or dish networks.
Great movie. A shame it gets so much hate. It deals with the question we all ask ourselves. Does god exist? Is there life after death? What does life mean? If you believe or not and if you like it or hate it, Star Trek V is an entertaining escapist movie that takes the audience boldy where nobody has gone before.
He's such a bad influence, which I'm sure he loves.
Great special. Thanks for sharing. If there is one film in need of a director’s cut with new visuals it’s Star Trek V. lots of great scenes. Do it while Shatner is still with us.
thanks for watching, and great idea. Paramount's new owners should put your idea into action!
Waters drinking water hahha. He was so handsome ❤❤. Are there anymore devine movies coming out please?
@@halitosis75 glad you enjoyed it! That’s all I have sadly, and I have no inside information on more Devine movies.
Omg I got goose bumps when he an that child said his name my god my names Jason as well!!!!
To me the real villian of star trek is the unknow an it could look like anything u can imagine....
Fantastic
glad you enjoyed watching it. it was such a treat to spend the day filming with him.
I was in the audience for this! Our entire AZA chapter served as the congregants. I'm the first person you see right behind the dogs.
that's amazing! thanks for watching, and what a wild thing that you found the clip! and thanks for being in the audience that night!
🤨 Slow down so I can admire the works!
@@worthington5687 I take your point. The video was made and was posted when the show opened, and the goal was to encourage people to go to the gallery and see the show. Perhaps it would have been good to edit two versions - the one you watched, and one that took a more leisurely approach with more time to take in the work itself. Thanks for watching!
I know where John Wters lives today in Baltimore...
I bet it's a little bigger
@@TodMesirow Yes, it's very nice.

MTV crypts
He seems like the kind of weirdo that would spend 24 hours gooning and talk about it on a Reddit forum.
He'd be smoking and chit chatting all day about random subjects. You're probably projecting, little bro.
He didn't read all those books.
He himself said it: nothing is more important than an unread library!
he might actually be the coolest person ever
I'love blues❤🎸✌️
All Star Trek movies I like just like everybody else the first one had a lot of philosophy situations this one dealt with I wouldn't Die until I'm alone and Brothers and family
This is great I wish we had more documentaries like this available
thank you! glad you enjoyed it.

he was great. I think this was Musk's first nationally televised interview.

Love this! this is amazing ❤ thank you 😊
thanks so much! glad you enjoyed it. I was just talking about it with a friend the other day.
and I'm really curious - how did you find our video?
All these years later....still wondering why "God" needed a Starship??
the eternal question, definitely.
National. Fucking. Treasure.
I wish he was my neighbor.
star trek V was actually one of the best star trek movies that came along. Shatner came the closest to duplicating the original series.
Space the final frontier… technically it would be other dimensions…. Space being the same dimension that we exist in. Which would make the afterlife the final frontier.
And I'm thinking the whole time I was watching this....."Divine was still alive at this time". Always love watching and listening to John.
imagine going to fuck this man and he has four fully decked out female mannequin heads
I met John when we both played at Jazzland in Vienna, Austria in 1976 and stayed with his family in Fairfax later on. One day he told me:"I am an ignorant man and maybe foolish but my philosophy is: I love everybody " This sums up the man.
fantastic. he definitely felt like a pure soul the day I spent with him.
Love John Waters but the mans a bit of a pathological liar. Ton of stuff in his books never happened. Like claiming to have acquired that witches broom from the Spahn Ranch. That broom doesn't even come from a REAL witch. Also, the Spahn Ranch ne-ver sprouted condos, everything burned down early on and was never rebuilt. It became parkland and remains so to this day.
Interesting. Though it seems more embellishment than pathological lying…as if he’s inventing a character that he’s playing.
I grew up watching Wired Science however, it's the fundings that counts. : )
how dare he not show his bathroom
that's funny. I blame myself for not asking.
Thanks for sharing, but now I'm jealous.
i'm moving into a new apartment in a couple months so i'm watching this for decorating tips
JW chic style. nice.
"edie, a lovely woman i worked with, FAKE BACON-"
It’s too bad this was cropped to 16:9 instead of showing the full picture.
we recorded this on 3/4" videotape, the Sony, and the camera was a state of the art three tube beast with a zoom lens. the ratio was 4:3, long long long before HD and 16x9. I'm not sure why UA-cam auto-crops - maybe it's my error in uploading it. thanks for watching.
@@TodMesirow ah, typical UA-cam messing things up. Thanks for sharing this.
@@UnbornApple my pleasure, I'm glad people seem to be enjoying it.
