Well they still had to stop and get inspected, so the original story seems more right than wrong.
Stopped for a pre-incident mechanical inspection and repair is worlds different than being turned away because it failed emissions testing.
The "Official sites" this man mentions checking with are part of the problem. Case Example: Governor dosnt think there's a problem
No. The official sites I’m talking about are places like LA Fire, LAPD, Cal Fire, etc. the actual agencies out there doing the work. This has nothing to do with any political party or elected official. Government organizations, not the government itself. A little bit of knowledge goes a long way.
Okay, so what about the 100 fire trucks sitting in LA not fixed? Report on why this is NOT A PRIORITY!!!
If they made these fire fighters do anything to the trucks, Cali is fully unappreciated. These trucks are stout and made better than most common vehicles in the street. I can’t believe what this guy says, the state government let the state burn by not clearing brush and dead trees. I have 62 years of what Cali does and it ain’t good, hold them liable.
The firefighters didn’t have to do anything. Cal Fire repaired things such as brakes, tires, suspension, etc. If you had watched the full video you would’ve gotten the full context of why these checks are important. We DO NOT want anyone to ever get into a situation to where they are trapped in a dangerous area due to a mechanical issue. Oregon fire has come out and said that they got the inspections and we’re not held up any longer than they needed to be. I will however agree with you on the fact that more forest/vegetation management needs to occur. Refusing to deal with all that accumulated wildland fuel is obvious under sight from the local and state governments.
Really, I go to fire stations and their fire trucks are pristine. I’m sure nothing was done of any significance. But the audacity of Cali. I have seen the Chief or what ever she calls herself and listened to her words about rescue. A sad state of affairs. After 62 years of life and watch Cali force homeowners to clear brush by their house while the ran down national forest sit a hundred feet from the property and they do t allow folks to clear the fallen or even sick trees is a disgrace to the Union. Seems like more on the horizon as they keep voting crazies into local office. Did you hear the local assembly was in session trying to think of ways to sue Trump while the city burned. Debunk that fact. Looking a gifted horse in the mouth. Take care and stay safe.
@ I do agree and in the majority of cases all the trucks are pristine, in those cases they wouldn’t require an thing but at least there would be the confidence that the truck is good to go into the disaster zone. I have heard instances of wildfire contractors sending out equipment that met the “specs” but was far from a functioning unit. Those apparatus even though they are technically what was requested will absolutely not do the job and should be withheld from responding. They are just going to be a liability instead of being an asset. This is how large scale emergency incidents operate regardless of politics. I do absolutely agree on the forest service needs to do more. The same thing happened up here in Alberta, Canada when the Jasper national park wildfire occurred. Lots of dead trees left standing from a pine beetles killing them, but since it’s a nature preserve the dead fuel was left standing. Then when severe fire conditions occurred it had all the available fuel. This is one of the main factors why we lost 30% of the town of Jasper. In summary, pre deployment truck checks and maintenance good… lack of vegetation management bad. Stay safe out there as well.
False
@@SheilaKeck you literally just made an account now to comment this 🤣🤣🤣
The only convincing you did here was prove the BS red tape turn away excuses. this is the biggest emergency one can imagine, any other state wouldn’t have stopped the trucks and likely would have given a police escort. Emissions repairs and vetting the water in the trucks so they don’t pay for something they’re not getting. Makes you want to🤮
You clearly have no experience in working on large scale incidents and it shows. Not once did I say anything about emissions testing and spoke on apparatus capability. You are simply making stuff up or lack the ability to comprehend facts. Equipment needs to be in good repair because if it is deployed to al the fire line to hold a critical location… and it can’t do the job because it’s old and broken, guess what? The fires don’t get controlled and continue to grow. I think 45-60min is an absolutely reasonable amount of time to do the appropriate checks prior to sending equipment into the fire.
@When I first read about the story I was skeptical of misinformation too, but watching your vid defending the stops and delays contributed to my concluding that the story is valid. Others viewing your vid will likely conclude the same
@@Beet--Juices no you weren’t, you are clambering for something you can use to be mad at 😂😂. It’s okay, every where else I posted this video people understood that the original article was BS and agreed with me. You are the only one who came to that conclusion ✌️.

On the plus side where I live all of the pipes are metal. On the downside I'm pretty sure that valve is inside the house, in the basement.(That's very common around here)
Yeah all the above ground piping is typically metal but for gas distribution they’ve went to a composite piping to mitigate any corrosion issues. We have run into a few where the shutoff valve is inside the basement but luckily that is now against code. If we were dealing with this inside a basement it wouldn’t get shutoff as it would be too dangerous during the active fire.
😭😭that's my biggest fear for my bf and all the Firefighters out there. The gas leak
That’s why we train heavily on dealing with hazards like this. If it couldn’t have been done safely we would have left it and had utilities shut off gas to the area. Unfortunately things do happen but this is why we train as much as we do 💪.

I wonder what it’s like for black males working on the oil rigs I heard it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Can someone correct me if I’m wrong
Oil and gas offers the highest starting salaries across all industries, but there's no stability, regardless of how many qualifications or experience you have - the new re-structuring frequency is 3 years for multi-national operators. The oil and gas industry is a friends and family affair and doesn't offer growth and challenges like other industries do. People who are in their current jobs are going stay glued to their seats until retirement, so succession planning is not a real thing in O&G companies. Don't go into O&G as an employee, if you don't already have qualifications and experience already invested, it's the most erratic industry, populated by greedy people, who will never become wealthy in their lifetime.
Hello I'm looking into security work in Alberta and wondering how I can apply to companies that need my help toward security am I able to connect on here to the help I need, and also have to support to get where I wanna go with my security guard profession. I know there is jobs out there also with learning opportunities for them, I am open to that as well. I been thinking of going back east, but yet having the connection, and the right people to help me, I live in bc trying to better my life, and meet new people places and things to get more experience in life.
Is it possible to show up and ask for a job? Or what is the easiest way to get in ?
Damn I envy I have process tech degree from Houston CC graduated in 2012 and have not been able to break into industry lucky for me I have 4 year degree too and work a decent job at RR

Beware, employers are notorious for not paying what they promised or not at all. The reason? There is nothing to force them too. So many labor board complaints without people getting anything. Sure there are people doing well but there a LOT that dont

Hello friend, I work for an oil company. At Exterran, now Enerflex. Natural gas compression. Where could I find out about jobs like this in Canada? Greetings from Mexico, Texas border, US
I’m very interested in joining I want to be a roughneck I don’t mind the hours I can work many hours and pray for it. The only thing is my kids and wife I would miss them but I we can manage. My question is where can I look to apply for a position? That will hire me with no experience? If I join and like it I’ll look into RV life and homeschool my kids give it 3 to 5 years and buy land and build. That’s the dream at least.
