Vaseline !? 😮
Forgot to release fuel pressure, does it matter? Anyone?
Not Vaseline, it damages rubber.
This video isn't for you newbie's so I suggest you find a more involved video before you start. This one is for those of us who know what parts to remove ie: plenum and other stuff. I've replaced all the ignition coils and plugs on my 2008 escape, and I'm still getting the code with the shaking. I'm going to replace the first cylinder injector in the next week when I have time. Is it a good idea to replace them all once I've got access to the fuel rail ? I think it might be worth while but I don't want to cause any other issue with injector's 2-6 if they're working fine . Cheers thanks for the video.. I would have known how to do it anyways but I thought it's best to watch your video before I started. Watched from British Columbia May 23/24
you’re not gonna start at the very beginning of how to do it?? makes no sense to start right in the middle; thumbs down
Anyone have a diagram of what fuel injector is which? Scanned a bad fuel enjector 1 on my 2011v6. Is that located passenger side at the back? Aka 1 3 5 2 4 6 Front Bumper Anyone know? Thanks
I don't have the diagram or the vehicle anymore. But I will tell you if you don't do all 6 fuel injectors at the same. You will be opening it again in 6 months
2007 mercury mariner is the same engine on the 3.0 v6 right for fuel injectors
Can't even show people what you did to find the fuel injectors? How did you get there? There's way too many of these videos out there with people that can't even explain what they're doing.
Why make a video if you’re not gonna start at the very beginning of how to do it?? makes no sense to start right in the middle
Some people just aren't very quick witted.
A video of how you got there would be helpful.
I had to watch several UA-cam videos to see how to take the parts off in order to get to the injector rail.
Lol just take clips off first
!! Wow ya Make it Look Easy Been Mecnec for Over 35 years this New Stuff Ain,t That Hard Common Sense is Most Of it Ya Got this Bought this Escape 2009 and lot's of Issues but with ya Helpin me Out Thinkin Got this so don't Look That hard So ya Got my Vote Keep them Comin ya Make Lot of People Happy So Carry On P.s. And ya Just Like the rest of us Makin Livin for Your Self good goin
What about the other design of fuel rail you only show the easy one not the single rail style wich is much harder
Do you replace all fuel injectors or only one
all of them. The others will follow if you dont
Did you need any special socket to get fuel injectors out?
I recall using a needle nose pliers for the clip. Otherwise no. Standard tools will work
I forgot to release fuel pressure to replace one on 09 escape V6 once I reinstall the fuel rail, do I need to do anything special?
make sure it is seating properly and all connectors are on. if anything is missed you will have to take it apart again. cant think of anything else, it has been a while since I posted that.
@@stevemeyers3478 so you didn't have to pull the fuel relay and try to start it first? Because I already got the upper intake off and now I'll have the same problem as the guy you answered his question ? Is gas going to squirt out ?
Nice video 😎👍🏻
Thanks!
I would like to see how you released the fuel pressure , before you started working on the fuel injectors . I like your video and makes me want to try doing it myself . thank you very much !. I have 2009 ford escape v6 .
I don't remember what we did for the fuel pressure. I would disconnect the battery first. when you pull the first injector, make sure you have eye protection. There really was not much that came out when we did it.
1, remove the fuel pump relay. 2, crank engine for 10-15 seconds
This may or may not work, actually... It seems that the injectors might not cycle with the relay pulled... Maybe try the fuel pump fuse, or unplugging the inertia shut off switch?
I'm having a rough idle and bank one fuel trip dips into negative while bank 2 never dips into negative. I replaced the bank 2 o2 sensor and did all the plugs. do you think a bad injector could cause that? what was the reason for you replacing this injector? thanks!
I have no idea what your talking about when you refer to banks
I changed the injector because the code came up misfire on the cylinder. changing the plug did not fix it. the coil needs to be checked as well.
each side of the engine is a bank.
I'm having a similar issue, I've changed the plugs and coil on Cyl 2 but still have a rough idle and missfire. I'm only now starting to consider fuel injector..
@@TimmyT1996 was the the problem? im having the same problem with my 2010 im thinking its the fuel injector as well
