Wife wanted a little get around toy to drive around the neighborhood. She bought herself a Burromax TT1600R and assembled the majority of it. It has been a couple of days and it has been a big hit. She rides it all around and on occasion lets me ride it although I look like I should wear a funny hat and be in a parade when I am on it. #burromax

Took the family crew to Matt's Meat Fest (sorta sounds wrong) at the Desperado Resort in Boerne Tx on Saturday 08/03/24. We live around the corner actually but met Demolitia from all over the U.S. Got to meet some of my favorite UA-camr's but have never meet Matt actually, maybe one day. He was constantly surrounded like a mall Santa at Christmas and was a great host. Some of the best BBQ ever ...

Shop update. Spray foam insulation.
Переглядів 725 місяців тому
It was incredibly H-O-T in the shop and I could feel the heat bearing down on me so I had a local contractor install 1" of closed cell foam insulation on the ceiling. Initial results have been positive and I can tell that it is cooler. Hopefully it will allow more hours in the day and more days during the year that I can get out in the shop. #sprayfoam #sprayfoaminsulation

Thank you for this very helpful series. I learned a bunch about my NAA. My question on the unloader valve thingy is did you remove item #7 or just number Six? If so, how did you get them out and is there just the one O-Ring on Six? Did you remove #8 and #9 and clean them and their bores? Thank you.
@@benkanobe7500 I’m going from memory here. Just 6 by tapping it and knocking out the plug labeled 4 in the pic. Yes majority will have one o-ring. Heard the early version had no o-ring but I imagine they have all been replaced by now. Yes I cleaned anything I could get with carb cleaner. Thanks for watching and good luck on your NAA.
Thanks for this - I'll be upgrading mine too! How is your oil situation? I put bar and chain oil in the reservoir but it always seems dry as a bone unless I manually oil. Reservoir is still full too...
Mine oils like it should but I know what you mean as I had a pole pruner like that where I had to pour oil on or spray with whatever I had around.
Thank you for sharing. Had my L5S1 Microdisectomy yesterday. So far so good.
Hope all goes well. Keep moving. It has been a little over a year and a half since mine and I give thanks every day for it and have not had any issues.
Nice garage. Can't wait to get one built. I think I'll go 2" on the spacer on my 1023e since I don't have the mower deck .
Mister Turner - I also have a vintage Chevy pickup with a SBC. 1946 Chevy PU restomod. Mine a 327 not 350. Vehicle came with a nice Carter AFB (now Edelbrock) 9000 series. That's a 750 CFM carb. Rebuilt, then tuned that carb until my fingers were raw. Fuel/air screws obviously, but also jets, metering rods, etc. I could NOT get rid of that off idle or slow speed stumble/bog. That carb was just too big for good street manners. Bought a new Edelbrock 1406- 500 CFM carb. (not the AVS). Installed 1406 and experienced IMMEDIATE relief with near instant response off idle and no stumble or bog at any speed. You wouldn't think the diff between 750 and 600 CFM would have such impact. Some small block chevy engines just don't suck enough air off idle to kick the transition circuit into gear with too large a carb. I don't run mine at 5-6000 RPM, even tho I could wind that 327 to 7500 if I wanted to risk it. I remain convinced (like many old guys) that a bigger carb may give you more top end HP, but at the sacrifice of good street manners in "normal" driving.
I'm retired in Boerne. I love my community.
Thanks for making this video. It was really informative and helpful
Great video of a great show today!
The oil filler cap leaks out of the little hole in it.
for some reason my 40v or 80v atlas barely cuts anything bigger then a quarter am i doing something wrong or it was installed wrong from factory?
That is so sick
❤️💪🏽☺️
Lucky a small block stock engine does not bend the valves when the cam crank is not aligned. The suck part is to R and R the timing cover uou should drop the oil pan
You are right about that on both parts!
But, did you think the new chain cut better than the stock chain? I recently wanted to buy one of these but my local store was out of them, so I called a second local store and they only had one that had been used, so I called a third local store and he couldn't find one, but then found on that was an open box one so I got it for $65. He said the store, or Atlas were kind of phasing out the 40V for the 80V so therefore hard to find. My chain was very tight but it works great so far but I'd love to know if you think swapping them out like you did is worth it if you can keep the original chain tight enough so it doesn't fall off? Does the longer gap between cutters make a difference?
I could never get the original chain to stay consistently on no matter the tension. Yes the newer chain cuts a little bit more aggressively.
thanks for sharing..........i'm scheduled next week for surgery.....your video was helpful...
@@billymarkwell1105 hope all goes well. It’s been about 1.5 years now and one of the best things. Still pain free and very thankful everyday. Walking seemed to be the best therapy.
Interesting journey sir, mirrored my own experience of discectomy I had a week ago. All the best
New subscriber. Just got myself a NAA. Still a 6 volt pos ground Wiring is original70 yrs. It starts and runs and 3 point works so so. Learned about the starter, some how I managed to break the teeth off. I never saw such a deal. So I had the tractor guy replace the bendix. got it home and simply spun the bendix by hand and the teeth popped out and stays there! Couldn't get it to go back. Put it in a vise and jumped it no good. Googled it and finally found out just install it and when the engine starts only then the teeth will retract. I been going rounds with dirt in carb probably because I ran it out of gas on first test run. I also know the centrifical advance in the distributor is frozen and want to check valve adj. while hood is off. I replaced the old small pto shaft. I may convert it to 12 volt if it doesn't keep battery charged. I am retired and like you I enjoy a challenge. I plan to use tractor to brush hog.
Was the event for charity?
Have a 1906bp that i plan on pairing with my 355sbc should make my 57 gmc happy
How much was the tickets?
$65 for all you can eat bbq, free beer and other drinks, no limit. It was from 11:00 - 7:00.

The Battle of Armageddon will be fought in the future near the end of the tribulation, demonic influences will cause the kings of the earth to gather their armies for an all-out assault on Jerusalem and the antichrist will be leading the charge, Jesus Christ will return to earth with the armies of Heaven and His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, He will defeat the forces of evil and He will cast the antichrist and the false prophet into the lake of fire, He will bind Satan and He will set up His kingdom on earth for 1,000 years, At Armageddon the Lord Jesus Christ “treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty” and all things will be made right.✝❤
Wish I had the nerve to, jump in one of our old rides a go lol I would be stopping at the bathroom every 20 minutes. Nerves a wreck. But being passenger in one was pretty nice thanks buddy. Greta looking truck btw. We had a 68 Chevy and redid it here lol

Please learn how to pronounce “Edelbrock.” You keep saying “el de brock.”
Wah... you have issues if this is your take away!
Would have been a good video without the goofy music
I really need to do that, it's so hot in my shop. Please let us know how it works out, hot and cold days. Did they charge an arm and leg or was it reasonable?
So far I have been pleased and can tell a difference. The shop is 1,200 (30x40) sq ft and 4:12 pitch roof and was just over $2 a sq ft drive out for ceiling only. I would say they earned it. By the time you pay for equipment and labor for three guys in full respirator masks and jump suits on a hot summer day it can't be a get rich scheme or comfortable work.
@@turnertruckandtractor Excellent, I really appreciate the information. I’ll be getting some quotes soon enough. It’s time! Thanks again.
“Murlin” The name fits.
I have a feeling you won't need the tune up kit.
Kudos to you sir most people put way too big a carb on their car
do you know how many watts this runs at?
1 horsepower (HP) is approximately equal to 745.7 watts so about 1100 watts.
You should turn this into a series. Great vid
Agree. There slot of work there for sure man
That is one beautiful truck, B61 Mack,😮I love it , Iwill take it just like it is , I could move a ton of houses , with it, thanks BigAl California.
I tint my own rigs. I just buy it on the roll. My trick is a high quality blade in my knife, a good straight edge, and a good squeeze with wrapped edge to prevent scratches. If I have application fluid that’s good but if not I may add a small drop of dish soap in my spray bottle. It does take a little nerve & not worth it to do it for a friend.
I am scheduled for laminectomy L3-L5 next week. 71 year old here, had two heart surgeries, and one previous laminectomy 25 years ago. I am diabetic but controlled on pills (no insulin). I have been a couch potato for over two years now due to weakness in my legs (have taken several falls and sciatica mostly when I stand over a few minutes ( been using a cane for a year). Needless to say, I’m totally out of shape even though I’ve had outpatient and in home physical therapies. Doctors say I need to do something in order to avoid further and irreversible damage. I did get 3 opinions and they all said the same. My wife takes me to various doctor appointments and to church on Sunday because I no longer drive so she is accustomed to going the extra mile regarding my care. I am looking forward to getting my life back by being able to work around the home and yard. I’m looking forward to providing my wife with some relief by not being my 24x7 nurse
Best of luck and prayers for a successful surgery!
enjoyed your video! Jealous as I so want a 2025r. Curious, have you used an auguer attachment?
I have not used an auguer attachment on it yet. Our soil is so rocky that post hole auguers are not effective and no grains are grown here for grain auguers either.
I wonder how the AVS2 500cfm would feel versus the 650 AVS2 as the improved feel you have might be based on the new design rather than cfm size.
Very true. I changed two variables to your point. Just did 300 miles in it last Saturday and it did great.
@@turnertruckandtractor I am thinking of going from a 600cfm non AVS2 to a 500cfm AVS2, so the opposite to what you have done, not sure now which way to go 🤣
@@RamblingClassics if your engine is under 350 cu in and under 5000 rpm’s I would lean towards the 500 AVS2.
@@turnertruckandtractor it is a 327ci so yes I think the 500cfm AVS2 will fit very well so will probably go in that direction. I Very much enjoyed your video and now follow up chat, thank you 👍
@RamblingClassics I just bought the 500cfm avs2 for my 95 mustang gt carb swap project. I'm hoping I didn't go too small. The math says 500 cfm will be plenty.
Nice lawnmower
What’s up with the elevator music
I hear ya. It drowns out the music that would get me a copyright strike and is the lame stock music available.
I like what you have done with the engine. I’m building a vortec 350 for my 53 Chevy but trying to make it look like an old school 283. Has the valve cover set up with pcv valve worked out ok how you have it? Are those the PML valve covers?
Yes they are. I think there is an intake manifold with the front oil fill that would look old school cool too.
How you feeling now are you ok 👍 I will go surgery for herniated disc
It has been one year now and I have done great. I give thanks every day for being pain free. The recovery was rough but in the long run totally worth it. Good luck and wish you well.
Any issues driving over the mower?
None at all since the rear never drive over the mower. The 1.5" spacer is the max without hitting the mower deck guide wheels when it is in the up position though.
Uncle Tony says the Edelbrock cfm ratings are not exact. They are actually much lower than advertised. Is this true?
I've seen tony's video you mentioned. My personal experience supports that idea. When I bought the 500 cfm I thought it was support my 350 at sub 4000 RPM but the 650 definitely made it run better even at low RPMs. I'm pleased with it and not changing anything any time soon.
when you "zoom in" on the cars, you cut off the tops of the roofs.
Nice work

The chain just kept coming off, but the last time it came off it bent one of the links. I ended up returning it. I'm going to get one from a different manufacturer like DeWalt.
I was just looking for a video on how to install the chain because mine randomly came off. Thanks for the tips on how to prevent it.
Nice tractor, been thinking of buying one myself. I'd be a little worried about a rubber hose on the exhaust pipe. If it should start a fire, all the plastic on modern tractors makes fire much harder to put out.🙂
Thanks for the concern and comment. It is a hose for turbo and intercooler applications so it's good. No signs of deformation and I can still slide it off and on.
How big is your shop,?? Thanks BigAl California. Looks like a good shop.❤
