ANNA PAVLOVA... THE UNDYING SWAN One of the very few I look up to and who's life gives me strength to walk my path with LOVE and let the others shake their heads because they do not understand the people like She was. As not many do know so much about her and her life... She did also live truly fully and no money in the world could replace the wisdom of path like she had... The Primadonna of all Primadonnas stayed true in her heart and did understand to tresure her private life even when she was in the spotlights daily. The Original rebel of Ballet and The One Who reminds me of the Power Of Love, Power of Will, Grace, Strength to go against all and following the heart no matter what the cost was and who the world would say...

She is other worldly. Ethereal. Thankyou. When I was a child I used to say " You look like The Dying Swan. What's the matter ?" I had no idea what it meant.
There is a video of her performing The Dying Swan on UA-cam. "Inspired by swans that she had seen in public parks and Alfred, Lord Tennyson's poem "The Dying Swan", Anna Pavlova (who had just become a ballerina at the Mariinsky Theatre) asked Michel Fokine, who had also read the poem, to create a solo ballet for her for a 1905 concert being given by artists from the chorus of the Imperial Mariinsky Opera." Exquisite--a sublime presentation so well done--and I agree with the comment of sbgardener5. To me, the name Anna Pavlova has always been synonymous with grace and with holding a place in the pantheon of the very best in ballet. Thank you for this video.
Thank you for preserving these wonderful photographs of Anna Pavlova and with such beautiful music. How wonderful to live in an age where we can sit down with our computer and find such wonderful gems.
A beautiful video. The costumes she wore, even in black and white, seem so much more detailed and elaborate than those made today. Thank you, belenprofe.
What a beautiful clip. She danced, in her own words, to bring joy into people's lives...and she certainly fulfilled that brief.
2.53 not her at all...just saying!
Her main teacher was enrico cecchetti. He trained her privately for 3 years
I think the tutu"s then were very thick and heavy and scratchy to wear
The Dying Swan.....hauntingly beautiful and so real. Brings tears to my eyes

Sublime, etérea, única. Un ángel que pisó este mundo.
At the minute 2.50 the photograph is not of Anna Pavlova.

I am wondering how much of this choreography survives?
2:52: it's not her, it's the actress Galina Beliaïeva, acting as Anna Pavlova in the biopic from 1983.
Too thin and too tanned. Yes.
Such a beautiful and moving tribute.
Is a male
Thank you
Wonderful!!! I loved the choice of music, also. The photo of Anna Pavlova with all the suitors which you entitled "Swan Lake" is really "Christmas".

God danced through her. Not one person will ever be able to surpass her. Not even one.
I like the picture with Cecchetti. I dance the cecchetti method of clasical ballet
OMG! That pic of her with the Boston Terrier and English Bulldog, I knew I loved her because of Rukmini Devi, but this!!!!
