    Thx great explanation some parts over my head but still helps to understand- I would only suggest that you expand on the first three complications particularly for people who have glaucoma and it could affect them seeing how does it do that? Is it just dry ice or does it actually elevate the ocular pressure?

    Hello Eric, thank you for your video. I was hoping you can answer a question for me regarding my 88 yo father with osteoporosis. He has chronic pain at the site of a 2+ year old thoracic compression fracture. He is being treated for osteoporosis with Olimab injection every 6 months. He has found Calcitonin nasal spray to be helpful which he has been using for 3 months. His Calcium levels are normal. Can he continue Calcitonin nasal spray for long term pain control of his chronic compression fracture? Or is it only for short term use. He is tolerating it fine. I don’t expect medical advise from you of course but appreciate your expert opinion if you could share it. Thanks much, Reet

  • @AlanJ57
    @AlanJ57 4 місяці тому

    Thank you for this video. I have Myasthenia Gravis and take Pyridostgmine Bromide (Mestinon) 60 mg two times daily during meals. When I was first diagnosed I was instructed by my Doctor to titrate from half a tablet 3 times daily and slowly increase to 1 tablet 5 times daily. After taking the tablets I was having real bad sweats, loads of excess mucus and saliva and I was getting bad diarrhea. At the time I weighed 240 lbs, very unhealthy I know. Gradually over the course of 18 months my weight has come down to190 lbs. This loss was acheived by cutting way down on my carb and sugar intake. Excercise was out because of the muscle weakening effect of MG so I relied on a change of diet. The sweating has stopped, so too the diarrhea and all that I have now is that excess saliva and mucus, but that's ok. Now I only need to take 2 x 60 mg tablets daily after meals, usually around noon and the other at 6pm. The only visible sign of MG is a slight droop on the left side of my face. Is MG curable or can the disease have less of an impact over time because I have none of the issues I had before. Or maybe it's a case of good MG management?
