Hello can I replace the safety valve of the stainless steel pressure cooker

Is the float valve supposed to have a spring on it to keep it raised?

I replaced with the hold down strip but the cooker doesn’t seem to be coming to pressure enough and leaks steam, did I forget something? There wasn’t a metal cup anywhere or did I lose it?

Where can one buy spares for this cooker. .? Prestige stock gasket and little else. They won't supply an assembly diagram. They want people to scrap old cooker and buy new one

Hi go to the prestige website, this piece has been replaced by a metal strip which you also need to replace the top handle too. £8:00 Inc handle and p&p (I'm in the UK). Makes me mad since they are still selling the plastic hold down cup, with the new pressure cookers. Honestly I spend £60 + on a prestige steel pressure cooker and find that a piece that actually cost 50p is hiked up in price by adding a new handles yet they still sell the old type system.😠

The red-colored plastic visual indicator - where can I get a replacement for that? Thanks

I am using a Raco pressure cooker in Sydney that looks very similar to this Prestige cooker. Your video helped me in replacing my broken holding cup. You holding cup was 2.50 pounds, here the new holding cup cost me $16+$8 delivery. Still not sure why the part of the holding cup that sits under the washer broke in the first place.

The cup on my cooker broke on its underside. The large metal washer that fits into the cup presses down on it when the small nut under the lid is tightened and over-tightening causes it to fail over time. Bit of a design flaw. The large washer is slightly cupped and I'm not sure whether this video shows it being replaced differently to how it was taken out. I would presume it should be assembled with the cup washer like a saucer so that it presses down on the cup.

Great informative video but can anyone help me buy one of these spare parts. Are they still available? I have looked and looked, but no success.
