Wow! Beautiful artwork ❤ 🪡🧵
Look up Richard Billingham, paintings are directly influenced by him and that’s great! Even the subject matter is relatively taken and rebadged as a current issue. Granted Richard was photographing and painting and film making in 90’s UK. His deep look at his family and their life altering experience with closures and lay offs of factory work, the isolation, pain and addiction issues that those things drudged up and how those things held on. I wish Tom would have giving credit where credit is due and mentioned his sourcing of photos from the web being taken from a great artist, and someone who has worked at capturing and sharing the affect these things have on everyday people in the past. Talking about influences is not only great for the growth and community of the art world but also kind and helps others see the benefits that being transparent can hold. It’s exciting to see someone be excited about someone or something that helped their work. Anyway, great video, hope all good things for you Tom.
What an incredible talent! I love this work….thankyou for this interview …very inspiring!
Thank you for your kind words. Cheryl's work is truly unique.
Just beautiful, you are a wonderful artist in your own right, I love your work, I have always been to scared to do anything different because people can be so cruel sometimes when you wear something different and I’m a male , people don’t understand that I love colour and I love fabric. You are and inspiration to me , thank you darling!
Thank you your kind words
beautiful pictures
Thank you very much!
I found this video very interesting! I love finding out about different art spaces around Adelaide. It has inspired me to further my curiosity in the art world.
What other art places have you already discovered?

A really wonderful video. It was great learning about Gerard's background story, his gallery and teaching space.

As someone who most of the last 40 years alone i appreciate this a lot. I did a similar piece a while ago. I,ll see if I can find it
Thank you for your comment. We hope you will find the pieces and share it with us.
Sooooooo amazing love every stitch ❤
Thank you 😊
What's your experience of drawing portraits? Have you tried following online tutorials, intuitively copying photos you liked, or taking a complex approach by joining art classes?
My first experience of drawing people was copying photos from album covers. I used a pen to trace contours on a film, then created a dotted outline of the portrait and coloured and shaded it with a pencil. Surprisingly, the result looked very close to the original.

the big question is when is the art world going to move on from 1930s abstract art that was the last time art had a revolution art has not moved on for decades the same with art schools still teaching 1930s art there is no modern art it has not been born yet in the 21st century hope this not too deep for you
Thank you for bringing up this intriguing topic! In our future conversations, we will discuss the recent stages of art evolution. Do you have any contemporary artists in mind who you think would be valuable for art schools to study?
