Workshop EP4: Post Layout and Top Beam Mortise
It worked well. I ended up using a counter load to assist with the raising of the bents. Still a challenge to do by myself.
How’d the gin pole work out for ya?
What a waste of time as i need to see a rig that will lift my purple martin bird house useing a whinch where do u attach the whinch this didnt show me much at all ,later johnboy
First of all thank you for the video on harbor freight 10” table saw the same exact thing happened to me the nut fell off (while making a cut ) luckily no one was injured once I looked and saw the ridiculous design I said hell w/it and decided to go through the whole saw and check for loose nuts /wires/etc. well now I’m having trouble getting the bevel assembly back together everything else is fine but I’m having trouble with the spring and can’t figure out how it goes in there And looking at the assembly schematics isn’t very helpful hope you can post a video on step by step assembly of bevel screw and get me back on track thanks for the video and great idea how to put a more permanent nut at the end of the bevel screw
Wow. That looks great! Great product. Excellent craftsmanship 👍👍
High Farmer G! I just noticed your comment and I am sorry for such a late reply. Thank you for the positive feedback and two thumbs up.
Where do I get in line to watch people move junk 🤣. I would have totally butchered that stone. Nice demo job.
Glad to hear you fared well. Are they going to call the next storm Phrygian 🤣🎸
Lol! Yes Farmer G, however this one went from Dorian to Moxidorian.
Jared Smith 😁🤣🤣
Cool. You gonna use a pond liner or do you think it won’t be necessary. 😁👍
Farmer G, It's not necessary where we are at. My pond location was already 2' below sea level. Plus, the soil is 90% clay once you dig past the 16" of top soil. Wait until I post a video of hurricane aftermath. Our whole backyard becomes a pond!
Cool beans bro. Bet it feels good to have the building done and ready to go. Great tunes. Very nice video. Watched every second 😁👍👍
Farmer G, Yes it does feel good to have the workshop done. It's not 100% yet, I still need to run dedicated power to it. I need to make some money first so I can afford the $183 to tie-in to our power pole with a utility box.
He speaks!!! Nice work bro. I’m sure that feels great to have this project done. Family business? That’s cool. Look forward to seeing what you do. Always making progress. Keep it up 😁👍👍
Hey Farmer G, Our family business is in crafting. I make furniture, small nik-nak's, and soap. My wife make crochet everything. You will get to see some of what we do soon.
My question is will you cover the exterior plywood with something? The deer stand scaffolding in brilliant!
Gardening in Gnome town, Yes I actually just finished painting it barn red with white trim.
Surviving The South red and white barn! Very nice 👍
Be careful up on that roof. Looking good bro.
Not the highest or steepest roof I've worked on. I did a Ranch house in Odum that was a 12&12 pitch with a 70' rack. It took three of us 85 hours to complete, with shingle.
Jared Smith I don’t envy that 😁👍
Nice looking rafters bro 👍
Takes an awful lot of patience. Good job!
Cool stuff man! Have a great day 👍
Nice work. Lots of pretty flowers 😁👍
I cannot keep a vacuum cleaner alive anymore. Soon enough I’m going to rip up all the carpet that’s in the house. I’m all about wood floors these days. Looks like you got the vacuum maintenance thing down 👍👍
Farmer G: This is the front, middle post of my workshop. The left and right support beam tenons will over lap each other inside the mortise.
Pretty precise. 👍👍
End result=nice work. What are you going to do with it?
Farmer G sent me to check your channel out, cool man!! Keep up the good work!
That’s one big pretty piece of wood you got there. 😆👍👍
That’s one mean looking tool you got there. Look forward to an update. Let’s see what that bed can do 👍👍
I bet that the fumes of that stuff made you feel like you were 10 ft tall 😆👍
Farmer G: It smells like old diesel fuel. Really not that bad on the brain, specially outside.
Subscriber #1 Subbed and belled. Welcome to UA-cam bro 😁👍👍
