Watch this train for a string of brand new covered hoppers. Akron Ohio on 7-16-24.
NS 1023 west.

I had a face full of hazy sun glare and couldn't see that I was being handed a gift. My 3 elephants didn't get the credit they deserved. Rootstown Ohio on 7-15-24.
C760 and X277
I missed seeing 277's power by about 5 cars of the 760. Both trains were westbound at Arlington St. Akron Ohio on 7-21-24.
Just a "B" Movie.

B158, I never heard it on the radio, there was some other conversation though. Akron Ohio from my car on 7-19-24. Because it's a "B" Movie, it's on late at night.
👍
Nice train video.
Thank you.
💯
The wrong loco is leading on this one!
At least it had a flat car behind it. Thank you.
💯
Nice video! Equipment is returning from Combat Support Training Exercise 24-01 (Annual USAR training) which ran from June 1-15, 2024 @ Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. The equipment is heading to Fort Eustis @ Lee Hall, VA then I presume line haul (Roadway) back to their bases. Units are from the US Army Reserve's 377th Sustainment Command, HQ @ New Orleans, LA including: 518th Sustainment Brigade @ Knightdale, NC 497th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion @ Salem, VA 424th Transportation Company @ Galax, VA 38th Regional Support Group @ Cross Lanes, WV 378th Combat Sustainment Support Batt @ Fort Indiantown Gap, PA 157th Combat Sustainment Support Batt @ Horsham & Willow Grove, PA 733rd Transportation Company @ Reading, PA + Det 1 @ Horsham, PA 413th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion @ Schenectady, NY 167th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion @ Londonderry, NH
Wow, thank you for breathing life into my video. Thank you for all that you folks do.
Interesting units!
Thank you. FPA4s built by Montreal Locomotive Works on 1/59 & 3/59 respectively.
The horn on this particular SD40-2, reminds me of the one CSX has on a lot of their flared SD70MAC
My favorite horn is what the factory put on the ACes.
💯
Great stuff Fred, congrats on the New Page. I'll be following.
Welcome aboard Bob, thank you.
Shame that, this time, they had 365 in the trailing spot
I know, but had it been leading, it would've been LHF, not the best look for it. Thank you.

I guess that driver needs to update their GPS 😂. I remember when south and voris were there, good spot to catch things
Hey there, how've you been? Nothing good happens in Akron after dark. 😂

I'm definitely eager to see how their ex Grand Canyon FPA units will look along with the both of these whenever they bring them into service
IM LIKE TRAINS CVSR 6777
Thank you.
Nice video, do you know a good time to catch i018 in Cuyahoga falls?
I caught it there today at 12:59 PM and that's pretty much within the window of what I've seen so far. Thank you.
💯
First time I've seen one of these trains roll through the New Castle Sub. In all of my life, I can't remember a single train on that line hauling truck trailers, whereas they've been a pretty regular sight on the NS Cleveland Line.
There have been trailers before this, but not many. Thank you.

Hey that went to Brewster today for derail damage
Thank you.
@@fredstuckmann not quite sure what I did, but you're welcome!
@@CDROM-lq9iz Provided information that I didn't have. 🙂
@@fredstuckmann shoot. Usually you guys on the trackside find things out before I do lol.
@@CDROM-lq9iz I'm not that detail oriented, I record it and other folks flesh it out for me, so thank you.

Hopefully not being banished to the scrapper, as rumored with the arrival of their C44-9Ws
The nearest scrapper is LTEX which is behind this train, never heard where they were headed.
I definitely do hope we don't replace the 261 on my road, whenever we get number 442 back up to running and in service. For now, I'm definitely still loving the 3134
3134 is a good unit.

I wish they still put out smoke...a classic ALCO thing.
CVSR got a grant to turn this unit green, so it received an MTU (Detroit Diesel) prime mover. It's not as much fun to watch, but it's much cleaner and quieter. Thank you.
Awesome stuff! Did you see any of the Kcs power that ran through on NS tonight?
Thank you, no I didn't get out to the NS today.

Hey there Stacey, thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great weekend.
When I took the bus to work, it wasn't uncommon for me to see things like this, either. I'm fortunate that I didn't get a front-row seat to something nasty.
Some years ago I watched a fellow sprint across the north rail only to catch his foot on it. He face planted in between the east and westbounds. A westbound was in about the same place. He recovered quickly and got off the track, but if he had tripped over the south rail of the westbound, he would've been a casualty. Thanks for coming on board.
It shows as a Chicago, IL - Baltimore, MD train. This appears to be an interesting re-make of I138
I've lost track of the changes, thank you.
Feels so weird to see UPS on the NCS. Hope it remains a daylight train for the time being unlike every other train haha.
They've moved so many trains off the NCS, it's nice to get something else to look at. Daylight on top of it all, that's just bonus. Back in EL days 4 daily UPS trains went through Akron, 2 each way. All 4 of them were long trains and hot. What I see here is very small potatoes, but it's a start. Thank you.
Good old memories of reporting here and having morning coffee before briefing at the crew office here, with all my mates, back when I still worked on the CVSR here back in early 2020.
Dang, more ACu's 😯 You're making those seem as common as GEVO's, lol 🤣 Awesome catch Fred!
I wish they were still SD90MACs. Thank you sir.
the " 'meat' of commerce "........with "open doors"....‼
Awesome catch! Correct leaders too 😁
Thank you sir.
Great video Fred! - Jenny
Thank you Miss Jenny.
@@fredstuckmann you are welcome!
when was this video made?
I forgot to put that info in there, I'm sorry. About the middle of June in Akron Ohio. We had 90 degree temps on the 16-18th.
