With work that good, you could rig an election. 😊
I hope people trial rig the airplane before covering. It would really suck to find out something is wrong when everything is covered an painted.
Do you do flying videos?
Awesome! Stupid question: is this skill passed from worker to worker on the job, or is formal training provided?
Love this channel.
Thanks for such a great video you made it look easy .
Love the workmanship
i can see why biplanes went out of favour still i like them best of all
I love it!
Good Work. What glue do you use for the wing walk and wing rib gussets?
I would like to learn what is that shiny insulation what is used inside the hangar walls and ceiling. We may not have that in Finland. Is it fire resistant.
Very cool!
Why do biplanes have the pilot seated in the back seat? If it’s a tail dragged that doesn’t make sense.
I love airplanes like this. Please please please finish this project! 👍 100 thumbs up!
A stock 220 Stearman with a prop set to full climb will go in and put of Super Cub strips. This should be amazing.
Jesus is the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the father but by him. No man made religions required.
Go away
How awesome is this! Reusing old bits to make something new is an awesome challenge, fun too. The options are endless!
I love this project!! Way to go!!!
Really looking forward to this build!
Great Video....I like the surprise guest speaker at the end!!
Any thoughts on how brakes are going to fit?
Loving this, when does the next video drop😊
I just love it!!! Have all the fun you can!!!
We went there last week, September 2024. It took my breath away! At 76 years old, that's saying something!
Nice old bird👍
I am in ahh of the craftsmanship and dedication to detail. You folks did a set of Stearman lower wings for me in 2018 and they are a thing of beauty!
Great video as always ,,,I have never seen felt on leading edge it’s a great idea for smoothing out the leading edge
What's the purpose of the felt on the leading edge? What is the fuselage in the background? Nice video!
I also want to know about the fuselage painted blue. Is that an upcoming project?
I'm not a pilot but have worked with mechanics for many years... there's no way I'd make that flight without a thorough inspection and takeoff/Landing of runways the kind you would expect to encounter. You're lucky those wheel bearings held together.
You should sell your unusable wood to violin and guitar makers.
Nice video. I'm 71, I got a ride in Tri-Motor N414H at EAA Rockford when I was nine years old. 414H still on the job.
what glue are you using looks like aerodux
My algorithm is on fire right now.
Great tutorial 😊
Thanks!
The Goose states it is from NAS Whidbey Island. The old seaplane base ramps are still there and the Commissary is near that site which is on the opposite side of the island from the main Naval Air Station. I live about 40 mins away north, Lynden, WA. I am an USAF Brat of 15 years, Dad worked on the fire control system for the Convair F-106 Delta Dart with the 318th FIS McChord, WA. and the 5th FIS Minot, ND.
What a Super POST ! Thanks !
Totally Ruined by the music! Fail
Is swoop de do , a high tech airplane word ?
i think it is better to just take the stearmans to john let him deal with it. he going to go pickone up for me in a week or so. and bring it back to his shop and go thru it even tho he restored it 8 or 9 years ago, i woudnt trust anyone else to touch my planes, i did see a d a few weeks ago that was a restoration shop in the midwest and they claim the y are wil e coyote smart. scared me
If you guys could explain more of how and why you are doing things; the tools, the leading edge thickness and alloy; and how to pre bend it; how many brads required per foot, etc… it would be helpful
wow wish i had know you guys. i have a complete set of wings all covered in my hanger plus 2 stearmans. a super stearman that has been in the famil since 1968 and a stock stearman that i bought a couple of years ago from a old man her ein omak washington. and a few other planes
I love the smell of PolyBrush in the morning. Smells like......aviation! Do you use invisible gloves?
Really enjoying your videos,,,please keep them coming
Very well done!👏👏👏👏
Sorry to see you have to go through that. Glad nobody got hurt.
Great job, Chris and Becki!
Very nice work! Years ago I bought a half-finished Pitts S-1. The wings had been covered but when I put them on the fuselage, I had to twist them a little to fit them to the I-struts. This made the aluminum leading edge wrinkle. They must have put the leading edge on and covered the wing laying on saw horses and had a little twist. The struts had been made correct and didn't require any shims to get the wings straight when fully assembled. I re-covered the one wing that was the worst. When finished it flew straight and was so fun!
Looks like it's going fast just sitting there. Sexy aircraft.
Beautiful restoration! I considered it a few years ago but couldn't quite pull it off. Glad it got finished and is flying. Congratulations to all and enjoy it
