I was hoping for a tour of the north end of the island. You wound up at Turtle Beach, right down the road from The Old Club, which I used to deliver to. Still a pretty good tour.

That blue house is interesting. Looks like they kept adding to it as funds became available.

Last summer, I parked at the Kroger down the road from the ferry and rode my gravel bike around the island. The refuge had some cool trails. The ferry is free for pedestrians, btw

I might visit Detroit Summer 2025...and check the bridge out!

Too bad a bridge like this , paid for mostly by Canada, now belies a wall of sorts being put up between the two countries thanks to Trump.

Thanks to Canada for building this fantastic bridge to facilitate trade between the two countries. Wait! What happened yesterday to these two great trading nations? Perhaps we don’t need this bridge after all.

I would bet that the people of the island would not even want a bridge, that they like the isolation.

First time I have seen snow stick to the bridge, poor guys, it has to be hard to work around all that slush. For some reason, I do love seeing the I-75 moving alongside the construction. It was neat video!

Great footage! At 1:14 you can see the Fisher building off in the distance. I hope that the greater Penobscot, the old 1365 Bagley AT&T, both Rapp & Rapp buildings, Valson apts., the Ambassador, and Palmer Park all escape demolition.

This building reminds me of an older version of One Liberty Place in Philadelphia

Amazing footage! This is such a beautiful building! Did they give you a hard time for recording there at the beginning? I know I've been given a hard time myself whenever I've tried to record those beautiful elevators.

Being in one of those elevators (can't recall what floor we had to go to but, pretty high up) and the elevator was jammed packed. I didn't know I had claustrophobia when I was 16 years old. I think I am okay now, lol. Great video as always, thank you for the details.

So much potential. It's easy to envision those upper floors converted to luxury apartments. Some with outdoor terraces. The Penobscot needs new ownership.

My great Uncle used to own 3 houses next to each other on the Island many years ago. I'm not sure if they're still owned by the family....

Even in the cold weather when the river is icing up, the wind is blowing, and the workers have to bundle up, the work of building the bridge still goes on. Your music helps make watching your videos a pleasant experience.

I grew up in that area. Had friends that lived on the island. The whole St Clair Flats was a great to grow up.
