How to beat basic Baiken pressure (Out of Date)
This hasn't been accurate for a couple patches sorry.
Simple video I made to teach my friends how to not lose.

what parts of the vid are out of date now? trying to study up for 1v1's against my friend
for anyone that wants to practice the combo at 1:34 i made a combo recipe for it! recipe ID is 90688
This was exactly what I needed, thank you so much
Something I feel this video was missing that players should look out for! As a Baiken player, I sometimes train my opponents to punish my 2HS. Hiiragi counter can be combod into from *all* buttons/non specials. If punishing a 2HS, you may want to stagger your input. If you are over-eager to punish I WILL use this against you and catch you every time. In throw setups, the Hiiragi counter can also be used offensively for the same reason; if you are predictable on your wakeup(especially characters with DPs,) I will also use Hiiragi as part of my pressure. Just something to look out for, but mileage may vary; this all depends on the mindgames the baiken your playing against likes to play with.
Ending on the parry was so petty 😂. I’m learning and actually forgot all about that talk about jumpscares
Dude you're actually amazing for making this video, like i'm super stupid and i don't understand frame data and all that but you basically dumbed it down to "EXTREMELY punishable on block" and all that, thanks for this video you're a real one ong 💯
have been trying to mash out of baiken combos with Zato, it's been rough. Good to know which moves are actually slow and which ones just look fast bc of my frame jealousy.
I'd suggest setting your buttons on the side to show the game's buttons instead of your controller buttons to make it a bit more universal
The ending xD
I feel like nothing has changed from watching this. It's all rock paper scissors still?
Thank you, I've learned a lot about how I can structure my Baiken decision making and get more pressure without outright scoring hits
This is a lot of information, thanks!
Thank u this is very helpful
very well structured and informative. also super funny. hold my sub good sir
This has to be the dumbest video I have ever seen. Not only did you give one option of advantage but no other advantages to beat any of her moves correctly
jumpscare at the end holy crap
Meanwhile tips versus Sol's pressure: 'just fd and 6P lol' Cancer game
super helpful, thank you!
My problem is THAT GG is so fast I can bearly see what is going on untill I get hit.
Legit shows just how busted this character is. Virtually every move is unpunishable aside from the most obvious one. Coupled with probably the most absurd jS in the game, an extremely damaging parry that isn't separated into two moves for highs and lows like high quality designed characters and the recent buffs that she absolutely did not need, I'm starting to hate fighting this cancer character. 6P doesn't work on H Kabari anymore either, unless she's max range. Good video man, thanks for the effort, but I honestly I don't think it's going to help me actually stop her monkey pressure, there's just no openings.
Skill Issue
@@itsaIIgoodman Spoken like a true NPC.
thank you for the lesson wise baiken player
In stitches over the "It guides my sinful hand" bit 🤣 would love to see more!
great video for aspiring YOJOHNSON mains
whatttt, don't listen to him. Mash against my pressure EVERY time please :)
This is a good video for explaining Baiken mix, but I think you're using the phrase "Layer" in-correctly Kabari mix, throw mix, blockstring pressure are all different mix-up situations that have their own layers. For example: Layer 1 kabari: h.kabari into follow-up, f.s or doing cross-up Layer 2 kabari: once they start mashing 6p, Baiken waits and whiff-punish with 2h, or parries/mashes 2k after first hit kabari at close range Layer 3: once they start to block or delay mash after 1st hit kabari to catch you whiff-punishing, Baiken does run-up yzs, run-up throw or mash instantly after 1st hit kabari to reset pressure (which also comes full circle) The "layer" refers to the development of a single mix-up situation as an opponent comes to understand and answer the initial option you throw out, with each preceding layer providing new answers and mix to your opponent's answer.
I haven't played in a while but I'm pretty sure you can absolutely smoke her with a super between the first and second hit of grounded tatami in a block string
Who do you main?
Cant believe learning baiken from different perspective makes me know what to do instead of learning her flashy combos, good video 👌🔥🔥
Too true. This one video just up my baiken game by so many level. I actually underatand why i do things better. And with that i even remember the moves and combo better
Could you show how to do the post throw set ups please
Great video, just a heads up that you wrote "2S" while showing 2H around 4:24. I think we all got what you meant though ;)
I loved the whole video but the ending got a chuckle outta me
Really good basics lesson
The perfect ending
Man baiken mad cheap brooooo
Amazing video. Its very useful for Baiken players too because now i can to improve my pressure
This lmao
This character is cancer
Amazing video, I'm always looking content like this
good vid
Doesn’t really help me beat it. Just tells me she has like 50 options
Skill issue
Ik all of this and still can’t do shit, she’s in for free with kabari that’s some bullshit, thx for the video but I feel she’s in for free, a jab punish vs the damage she gets from parry is bs, I need light
Great video, thanks bro.
Excellent video, get that like and that sub bro
I'm hating fighting her right now...seems like her pressure never ends and she's never out of range.
I play gio, and it's mostly an rps, so you need to make sure your eyes are open. Make sure you're not letting her get away with shit in neutral too. 6p her jumps ins, and 6p also at least clashes with both kabaris in neutral.
