Hey there, sorry I’m just now seeing your comment and for the late reply. But to answer your question, for the most part…so far so good. I have not gone back to pre laser hair removal HS flares since, Thank God! I will say, though, for the first time, I am experiencing a pretty bad flare under my armpits right now, but I know what caused it. I tried sugaring or waxing with a homemade sugar wax for the first time under my arms, and let’s just say it really irritated me and caused so many ingrowns as well as what looks like a mini flare. :( prior to this, though I stuck to my tried and true electric manscaped brand razor for my under arm hair and the bikini reign and it never once steered me wrong. And I’ll be completely honest since I’ve never had a flare under my armpits before this.. if I could afford laser hair removal right now, I’d book a session today! so this won’t get out of control. I’m sorry for the lengthy answer. Hope this helps and best of luck to you. ❤

It’s honestly taking such a toll on my mental health. I was about to join the marines and I couldn’t do to hs. I really hope this gets better for us. 🙏🏼

I’ve used that before, it works the same, it just results in a little bit of a different smell if you’re taking a bath in it, not bad at all, just slightly different than the acv. Hey there, I’m so sorry for the late reply. Sometimes UA-cam doesn’t notify me of all the comments so I have to go digging to find them. First I hope you are doing well. And great question. I had the same question about going with flare ups and my laser place told me it is best to actually come with flare ups because it targets that hair in its growth stage and stops the flare in its tracks... and it has definitely helped me to get laser done with flare ups. It nips them in the bud before they can get too bad. So I would say keep the appointments especially if you have flare ups as long as there isn't open skin and it is in the early stage. I would let the nurse doing your treatment know so that they can be sure to target that area. It helps so much if your HS is just in the swelling lump stage and honestly has cut my flare ups down so much. Hi there, I am so sorry for the late reply. I hope this message reaches you well. I am happy to answer your questions the best I can. So far in total I did 9 sessions of my arm pits and full Brazilian(every 6 weeks). The areas such as the perineum, inside the vulva (labia minora), and the anus are considered especially sensitive areas and my LHR did not do those areas or even get close. There are mucosal lining in the genital region so it is importance to be careful when lasering around those sensitive areas only focusing on the hair on the exterior of the genitals. My hair did come back but I would say, PRAISE GOD! I am in full remission for my HS. I do not mind body hair. I shave occasionally with an electric razor only down there. It is the manscaped razor. But to answer your other question, I have had flares that come with stress but none swollen to the point of incapacitating me or rupturing. I pray you will be healed. God bless you. Honestly, I attribute the flare almost completely to stress and the rest to tight undies and not taking the best care of myself. I always tell people and myself, try not to let stress build to the point of physically having a negative affect on the body. But I know it’s easier said than done. And about my follicles growing back… the hair growth is significantly reduced and I mean there are places for sure where the growth has thinned out which just makes maintenance(grooming and hygiene) a breeze now. I really don’t have flares at all anymore. I hope this helps.😊 -blessings to you.❤️

I appreciate your detailed answer. Thank you for taking the time to answer and also for doing your videos. You give me hope that laser hair removal will help me too. I hate to bother and ask another question but I’d really be so greatful if you can please answer this last question. I understand that stress can cause your body to react and I hope your situation gets better soon and you can feel more relaxed. However I want to know if the flares happened in a place where the hair had started to grow back after the laser hair removal or if the HS flair up can happen even where there is no hair follicle.

Yes my post laser hair removal flare was in an area where the hair follicles grew back. It’s interesting though now that I fully understand your question because you made me realize something…for the most part, my flares were always on my lower bikini line before laser and that is where the post laser flare was(also on my lower bikini line). 🤔 Now I do actually think it was because the hair grew back that I had the flare up, because there is an area on my upper bikini line where I’ve got a deep HS scar(pre laser hair removal) and the hair did not grow back on my upper bikini line after laser and I’ve never had a flare there again. Hmm… now I’m thinking about going back and getting the hair treated in the lower bikini line where my hair did grow back, especially if I have another flare. That was a great question! My treatments were scheduled about every six weeks. And I am so grateful for laser hair removal and that I found about it when I did! I didn’t know it at the time but I needed it and It has helped me so much! I got mine done through a company called ideal Image. Each treatment is done by a nurse and after the treatment, the hairs fall out about 14 days later and grow back thinner. I’m going to be honest though, It hurts getting it done especially in the beginning. Well atleast it did for me (it could be because I had thick hair on my body). I am so grateful to God for what I would say is complete healing.I have not had any out of control HS flare ups since laser Hair removal. I pray for your healing as well and that if you do end up getting laser hair removal that you’ll find a great clinic with great nurses and people to help you and support you through! ❤️
